Omega has really grown! She went from being the reason the Batch was finding themselves in trouble, to saving a member of the Batch. The way she jumped up on that ship, shot the pilot, then jumped down and laid cover fire for Crosshair while calling Batcher was absolutely badass. A skill from every member of the Batch was on display to show how much she’s grown while hanging with them.

I thought it was a good start to the season; gave me Andor vibes in Narkina 5. These episodes focusing on Tantiss are very interesting. In fact, the entire plot around Crosshair has such a deep and well-executed dramatic charge about him being a soldier completely traumatized by the repercussions of all the experiments and the time he served the Empire as a soldier. Another really cool thing was the look of that room/laboratory that Palpatine visits; it definitely gave off the vibe of a Sith temple.

@captaincoolbreeze9429

That's my thought as well. As someone else noted, it's possible that since she does not have the accelerated aging her genetic structure is more stable to allow a body cloned from her DNA to be a vessel for Palpatine should something happen to his current body. If this is the case, even Boba could have been a perfect subject since he is the only other clone that I can recall that ages normally and does not have all the other modifications given to the average clone trooper.

The animation is amazing...The shadows of the tree leaves on the helmets at night is some master class effort (speaking of someone who grew up with Clutch Cargo!). Also, the dryax is next level Willis O'Brien! I love how the storytellers were willing to show the boredom and isolation of Omega through the sound effects, and visuals, especially her ponytail. The storytelling is great; TBB unfolds over time, so I'm enjoying that and Devoronian lore was an unexpected plus.

Episodes 1 and 3 were definitely a stand-out in this premiere, but that sarlac/saava (the unkillable plant vines in Jedi Fallen Order) hybrid was terrifying. Real horror movie stuff there, especially since I was expecting the Havoc Marauder to be destroyed by it. Good to see Crosshair and Omega escape as well, though I have a feeling they won't go to Pabu first. Crosshair is probably gonna figure out that they need to ditch the shuttle in case a tracking beacon is embedded in it

I could not wait to get home from work to watch the premiere this morning. I loved the pacing of that first episode, it felt slow and almost monotonous but I guess that was the point, to give us the viewers a taste of what life was like for Omega trapped inside of Mount Tantiss. And I agree with Alex that episodes 1 and 3 could have been single feature length episode, but it was also nice to get a “meanwhile episode” to show us what Hunter and Wrecker are doing in their own mission to rescue Omega. I also like the implications that Mount Tantiss has been around since way before the clone wars, establishing a secret cloning facility. I say implicated because there were no female clones on Kamino (minus Omega) when Obi-Wan went there in AOTC. Which makes me think, was Palpatine having male and female clones created as a preemptive measure that a child born of a clone would possess the high midichlorian count for him to possess. For once I’m glad to be wrong: I thought they were going to introduce Ventress into the series at the end of episode 3, making us wait a whole week before we get to hear her story since the events of Dark Disciple. All in all, a solid start to the final season.

I haven’t seen anyone mention this so I'm gonna be the first. In the credits of the third episode Scorch is credited as "Commander Scorch". If he got a promotion then that can mean one of 2 things. 1) The rest of Delta defected and its Battlefront 2 all over again. 2) In legends Sev went missing in action. In canon Scorch is the only survivor.

I very much believe that Omega is Force-sensitive. It would honestly make so much sense. But with only being in contact with one Jedi, a youngling at that, it's very hard to conform this. Jedi often feel Force-sensitives around them. Sense them, if you will. So, until she either show signs of being so, or comes into contact with a Jedi who confirms it, it'll be a mystery. It will also make sense if the Kaminoins tried to make a Clone so.

I don't know why, but I was a little surprised by how... grim things were through these 3 episodes. Seeing Omega's hair grow as she spent time on Mt. Tantiss was rough. You knew it had to be wearing on her spirit, but her determination and compassion kept the fires burning so to speak. I do wish she'd have asked Hemlock "what if you're wrong?" as a challenge to his certainty that Bather wouldn't make it in the wild. He clearly wasn't aware or appreciative of just how quickly the wild instincts will resurface in a supposedly domesticated animal. Loved how the passage of time was hardest on Hunter. Wrecker being the one to advise patience shows growth, but just how adaptable the members of the Batch are when they have to be. He's filling the roles of Tech and Echo for Hunter. Seeing younger clones aiding the batch is good, but overall I have a bad feeling about all of this. We can assume the Empire doesn't get Omega back, but the why and at what cost seem like it's not going to be the ending many of us want to see.

From what I understand, Midi-Chlorians and M-Count are just people trying to find a scientific explanation for something they don't understand. Both the Jedi and Sith aren't perfect in determining what the Force is. To me, Omega possibly don't have special enhancements. She might just be a pure blank slate. Some stuff I thought was interesting that you didn't discuss here or on Clone Zone - Emerie Karr is kind of an enigma to me, but to me the most interesting thing about her was actually how you could see she really WAS raised by Hemlock. Like, she said that she was sent off Kamino and basically became Hemlock's protege, but you can really see how much influence he has over her. One thing I love about Hemlock besides the vibes, performance and his competence as a villain is that he knows EXACTLY what to say to people. Not everyone will be manipulated by him, but he knows how to get under his skin. He knows how to make poison sound sweet. And with how Karr treats Omega, thinking that Omega was not a prisoner and that she should be content here like she is, I was really reminded of how Hemlock talks, like how when he captures her he's like "I will return you to Nala Se" and pretending to act sympathetic to Batcher. It's all BS, but he tries to make it sound nicer. Difference is, Karr seems to genuinely believe what she's saying. Hemlock has basically trained her to be something like a droid. Good soldiers follow orders, indeed. That being said, I did never really consider the idea that she may have tried escaping herself, and how that might inform those more sympathetic moments. I also would like to think she's eventually gonna get back in touch with her humanity, but apparently either Rau or Corbett said her arc goes in a very unexpected direction, and if "clone with vague connection to Omega realises the new bond is more important and joins the heroes" feels like the most obvious thing you could do... one has to wonder. - Crosshair apparently being resistant to Imperial conditioning stuck out to me because you also have to remember that he removed his inhibitor chip. I don't think they're just cranking up the chips to keep the clones compliant there, but I do wonder if that's a potential factor in why it's hard to make Crosshair more compliant. Well, that and him being super stubborn, lol. - The Necromancer stuff was intriguing of course, but until you reminded me of the Midichlorian transfer stuff, I actually operated under the assumption they were taking blood samples from Jango clones to compare with HIS M count, to see if it could be the same or higher than him, as a test subject. But when you reminded me of the Midichlorian transfer... oh wait, it's the same thing as Grogu. The clones are just convenient test subjects lying around, and being clones, the thing Palpatine wants when his body eventually gives out, it's an even more convenient situation to see how Midichlorians work there. - So, time to be that crazy guy... I'm still on board the "Tech lives" train. One, they showed the X clone briefly, but he walked off. Why generate so much mystery when we already know there's a clone under there? I feel like it's at least someone we know. I've also seen some people (I think it was Corey's Datapad?) point out the build looks different from a regular clone, a bit smaller, so yeah. I am aware there's a "CX-1" speaking in the trailer and it's the regular clone voice, but we don't know for sure it's the one we're seeing (and obviously as seen last season, there can be more than one X clone). Then you also have Hemlock saying about how actions have consequences, and how he will enact them in the way they won't expect them... and secretly having Tech as a card to pull fits that. I feel like he understands if Crosshair is harmed too much, Omega will become uncooperative, and that will make Nala Se uncooperative. So if he wants to sting them where it hurts, use things they don't know about. Also... you have to consider how the Empire will find Pabu judging from the trailers. Depending on how much of the original Tech is there... maybe that's how they find out? I mean, it's more likely they could find some way in a future episode that will be way clearer, but it's just a thought I want to get out there.

For once I’m glad to be wrong: I thought they were going to introduce Ventress into the series at the end of episode 3, making us wait a whole week before we get to hear her story since the events of Dark Disciple. All in all, a solid start to the final season. 9:30 pm Surely the monster is a form of Sarlacc The entirety of episode 2 Is like a big fun reference to the flood in Halo I am excited for the Clone Rebellion since Omega and Crosshair’s escape indicates the final battle won’t be on Mount Tantiss. When the Clone kids were talking about the Empire destroying that last research facility, I loved the "Base Delta Zero" reference, a VERY deep lore cut...!

Emerie Karr reminds me of what Kilian Plunkett said about the doctor in The Zillo Beast Strikes Back: _"It's always odd that the well-meaning scientist doesn't seem to be doing anything to end world hunger or, y'know, find a cure for the common cold. In all these movies, a well-meaning scientist is always working on a death ray or a killer robot or something. But they're well-meaning."_

The Bad Batch is totally going to flatten Mount Tantiss and that will the storyline reason for Palpatine’s clones failure. The big question is will some or all of them sacrifice their lives to do it or will they just retire to Pavo and chill.

I believe in Legends and in Canon Dooku and Palpatine attempted to give General Grievous a blood transfusion to make him for sensitive but it never worked. Omega is potentially the first being in which this transfusion would work and has she been around they could have made General Grievous Unstoppable. She's essentially the first person in Canon that could be artificially given access to the force since her blood can readily except the M count from a transfusion

My bet they are currently trying to clone Ventress - she seems to be the obvious choice for a test subject since she appeared in the trailer. Also, cloning Palpatine, such a powerful force user would be quite hard, therefore they start with something easier.

My personal guess (which may be completely wrong) is that the test subject is Ventress and that’s how they’re gonna get her back alive. She’ll be a force sensitive clone and this way it doesn’t mess around with the dark disciple canon.

This series only gets better and better. What a beautiful 3 act series it’ll be! Can’t wait to see Tech again, cause I’m tired of our beloved heroes falling only to be revealed as still alive. I refuse to believe our smartest clone is dead and gone, if anyone finds a way out of that fall it’s our Tech! If Darth Maul gets cut in half and falls to his death, Tech who is fully intact isn’t gonna die so easily.

Omega and the force? Well, I’m glad they’re not having her do force pushes and such because she was never “trained” in the force. But she’s incredibly inciteful, resourceful, and has incredible reflexes… similar to another boy about her age that had an incredibly high “M” count that lived out on some desert planet till a space wizard found him.

Amazing start to the season. I honestly don’t know how I’m going to make it to the final episode in May in this state of anxiety. They did an amazing job with Tantis and the 1st and 3rd episode were so compelling but heartbreaking. Omega making her own version of Lula made be sob. I loved episode 2. The desperation of Hunter and Wrecker, the wear on their armor. They have really been through it. Very interested in the dynamic shift. I have a feeling we’ll be seeing feral Hunter in any combat situations. I’m hoping for a reunion soon (if only for my sanity) but have a feeling they’re going to make us wait for that. Very much looking forward to Hunter and Cross meeting again and how that relationship evolves and (hopefully) heals. Please don’t kill anymore of them off. Not sure I can deal with that!

Love these three episodes and really hope they'll show Emerie's backstory: why is there a second female clone? Is she also unaltered, created to become Shiiv's vessel, but turned out to be a failure? Will we discover a whole bunch of other female clones that failed (like Ripley in Alien4) until they got to Omega?

I really liked these first three episodes. One of my favourite things was in the beginning of episode 2. When we see hunter and crosshairs, they look like they have been through a lot, their armour is dusty and scarred and hunter feels vulnerable. I really liked how crosshairs was unable to escape on his own but by joining someone and both of them helping each other helped them escape. On the subject of omega, if I recall correctly omegas dna is essentially a pure version of jango fetrs dna or something like that yes? She’s like boba fett in that she’s kinda a perfect clone of jango, not entirely sure about this. Maybe the enhancements the rest of the clones received did something that prevents them from accessing midochlorians properly? I’m not sure but I think it would be something like that

I'm confused why they kept taking Omega's blood over and over. It sounded like others were determined to not have the desired quality based on the test. I doubt things would change when testing blood from the same individual again. Did they notice Omega's blood wasn't actually tested the previous times? If they did, you would think they would raise an alert that something was happening to prevent the test from happening.

I'll put money down that the test chamber is going to reveal Snoke, and make it so he's some prototype they're testing on, a Jedi they captured and intend to see if they can recreate and manipulate before trying to make more palpatines. Imagine if Snoke's origin was from some badass jedi we get to meet some time down the line. That'd be cool imo.

Okay I seen the blood testing completely different. They had the clone blood in the test tubes, and blood was being added to it. In the vault, palpatine smirks when the front of the pod lifts up. And yes I know there’s been too much mace windu talk lately, and would of loved to see a cg Sam Jackson in the pod, but I thought captured Jedi were in the pods and they were farming them for blood to try and get the m count into a clone bode. Remember around this time there’s the captured Jedi in the inquisitor base on the ocean planet, I highly doubt palpatine would give his own blood for this programme until they’d started making blanket clone copies.

As someone who's had mixed feelings about the show, this season is off to a great start. I like the little things that have come up so far, e.g. the Durand syndicate and a bit more about Emerie. The latter is still intriguing and I hope there's more about her; I wonder whether she was coerced by Hemlock (since he seems fond of that) or actually feels indebted to him. I had pretty much the same thought about Omega stopping the mouse droid. In the midst of the tension, I kinda like how abruptly hilarious it was.

While I am very happy that they made it off Tantis safely, I am very worried where next few episodes will go. Either Hemlock will get to them before Hunter and Wrecker can, or (and more likely I think) episode 4 will be a heartfelt reunion and return to Pabu, then episode 5 will be the Empire coming to Pabu to take Omega back.

While I hope your assessment is correct, another possibility is, there were Jedi in those unseen containers. I kind of doubt Palpatine would make a bunch of clones with no M or declining count. And I don’t think you can add that into a clone later. So I think it’s more likely those were Jedi and he was using the Jedi M count to see if it could be transferred before he used his. Plus, I can’t see Palpatine giving a whole bunch of blood for all these tests. He would probably use the Jedi first. And I also suspect Omega has no M count. They just said that the M count had no degradation in the transfer. That could imply she didn’t have any M count. At least I’m thinking this is another possibility.

You may question this .... But I still believe that Omega is the lynch pin in the Kaminoans cloning process.Boba was the 1st successful clone of Jengo Fett, and he was given to Jengo as payment for his DNA sample and training services of the clones. The question now is ... When was Omega created? We can assume that Omega was created as part of a seies of cloning experiments. One of those experiment was if a male DNA sample can produce a female clone? I suspect that Omega may have been cloned from Boba not Jengo. Emory was obviously cloned from Omega and also given the accelerated aging like all the other clones. We also know that the 1st clone series were the most gifted clones. They were faster, smartee, more agile than the clones that came after them. The is why the 1st clone series were the template for specialized enhancements and became Clone Force 99 [The Bad Batch]. They got that name because they were the only 4 to survive the process. There was. 5th. But becauae of hia ohysical deformity, he because the janitor for the Kaminoan cloning facility. So where did the Kaminoans get their hands on Miticlorians? Perhaps from Master Syphodius aka Senator Palpatine of Naboo?

The cloning tanks actually reminded me of the sarcophagus in Rebels (?) where they kept dead Jedi. Maybe old Palpi is not yet ready to give Hemlock his own genetic code but instead experiments on other Force Sensitives. Or they are trying to mix several beings Force Sensitivity in order to greater an even more powerful being for Palps to inhabit.

My guess is that the stasis cells are holding dead jedis and clones, on whom they are experimenting with resurrection ;) just look at Nala Se’s body language at ep 1 ehen Omega wants to join her, she pushes her back kinda saying: “you should not see this” check it out and aproove or deny me. Pretty easy to align that Omega, Crosshair, Batcher are going to crashland in next ep after jump (trailer cut where the shuttle is downed and all 3 are there.) The all resources given by gan’pa’ Palpi will be the line in for the headhunters including Ventress (yess go girl!) and Cad Bane - to join in for the storyline. But what about Nala Se? Hemlock for sure will be putting the picture tugether that she was sabotaging Omegas blood tests, and that will be punished/revenged by him. But as she was earlier contracting Fennec Shand, probaly she already put her onto the denfense of Omega and she is just waiting for the flyer to spin to action again to keep Omega safe from other headhunters/join the team. As Hunter and Wrecker is sending the young regs to Pabu it can be a scenario that the clone resistance/rebels center is secretly based there, and after noticing it Empire will invade it as they catch a scent, (as seen in the trailer…) either terminating or capturing the found clones leading to very upset Bad Batch and Phee, team whom will spin to action again. Just my few thoughs, let’s bet a coffee on these. :D
