I really empathized with Dooku. His little mini arc in this series was fantastic character development. I just wonder with his conflicting feelings at "The Works", had Sidious not been there, would he have given in to the dark side and killed Yaddle? He was already pissed at Sidious for being responsible for Qui Gon's death-- a pupil whom he essentially saw as a son. And the way he questioned their doings.... Makes ya wonder if Sidious hadn't been there to goad him, if he would have rebuked the dark side instead of joining Sidious. Dooku DIDN'T want to be evil. Truly believed what he was doing was for the betterment of the republic and the galaxy.

Did you notice young Kanan and his Master Depa Billaba in Ep 5? Cool to see them in there! This show was a breath of fresh air. Absolutely phenomenal. The feeling of wanting more and the satisfaction is what I wish I felt after the Kenobi series. One thing I was not ready for was how hard some of the emotional beats hit. Dooku and Qui-Gon having one last talk, where Qui-Gon praises Obi-Wan and can't wait for Dooku to meet him, only to then cut to Dooku sorrowfully reminiscing about him after his death hit hard. But what got me the most was Bail and Ahsoka speaking after Padme's funeral, where she breaks her stoic composure when she say "she was my friend". Eckstein nailed the delivery of that line so painfully well I teared up a bit. Just brilliant

A few notes: *Yoda most likely didn't talk in these episodes because Tom Kane, the voice of Yoda, the narrator, and Admiral Yularen in the Clone Wars, had to step down due to a stroke. Very sad. *Ashoka was called "Ashla" because the story (very loosely) follows the 2016 Ashoka Novel, where she went by Ashla while in hiding (and yes, she killed the 6th Brother just as fast in the book as well), she also used the lightsaber crystals in the Inquisitor's lightsaber to make her own white lightsabers

That whole scene with Yaddle following Dooku in his ship reminded me so much of Anakin debating whether he should go follow Windu and save Palpatine. The music sounded very similar too. You know Dooku is going to kill Yaddle, but you don’t want him to do it. It was very well done! Anakin’s training was brutal, but I loved how he connected with Ahsoka and taught her how to protect herself. The training droids at the Jedi temple aren’t gonna prepare you for real battles. Even though she was a prodigy, she still had much to learn and Anakin really accelerated her growth. I hope we get more of this show in the future!
