_Kenobi_ was full of problems, but pound-for-pound, I think the way the Grand Inquisitor looked was the most egregious. they already portrayed his species in live-action, and they looked awesome… so why couldn’t they replicate it here? and hire Jason Isaacs to reprise the role?

I'm gonna be honest, back then, after the first trailer, I was like "wait and see, that's probably because it wasn't able otherwise for all the action scenes". Boy was I wrong. I mean, changing the look slightly so action/stunts works is completely valid. They changed Ahsoka a bit in live action for that reason and it didn't bother me, I must add. But he was just...different for NO reason whatsoever. And they didn't even care with the fifth brother as well. I just don't get it. Look at Thrawn. He's the perfect example of how to take something into live action and make it work and look good at the same time. And I can't even blame the makeup/character creation department alone. They probably did what they could with what they were given. I'll never understand why the people in charge (obviously) didn't give Kenobi the same budget as Andor or the Mandalorian. The character (and Ewan) deserved better.

Back in the day fan films of SW were maybe 60-70% close to the real GL movies, but now.. both visions, ideas, fanfilms, visuals and so on seems more like SW than the actual Disney produces movies… Wth is going on…

@@George-um2vcthats not the only reason. They shoved bs into it that had no reason to be there. The show should have been focused on kenobi and vader with quigon training kenobi for the future etc. Show was a huge pile of Rancor sh*t.

@@quiet_erp i would say that disneys completely mishandling of the IP, has made the fan content even better and driven people to be even more aggressive with fanfilms and fan content etc. Which is a huge silver lining in all this bs. We did get fan content when george was in charge. But nowhere near as much as today. And I blame disney for that.👌

I think it was said that the Grand Inquisitor would have more screentime than Reva in the fan film, or something akin to that. PixelJoker also said on Reddit that the story in the fan film is "pretty original".

In the community tab for PixelJoker he has a post from about a month ago. He states he was on vacation but would be doing some VFX stuff while away and preparing to transition to music/scoring when he returns. 2023 release is still on track to happen. This is amazing work.

I get a lot of flac nowadays for saying I'm done with Disney Star Wars. Between Kennedy, THE MESSAGE and the money machine it has been beaten beyond recognition. I'm 49 and Star Wars has been a huge part of my life since the age of 3. I've been one of the few people I know that actually enjoys and appreciates the prequels. But the 'white slavers' (Lucas words, not mine) have diluted it into nothing. Saying that, this does look interesting (thanks to the love and affection of a talented fan with his creative heart in the right place) 👍

To be honest, I absolutely don't like the Kenobi show. But this fan trailer for the edit looks absolutely awsome. I know this will never happen, but Disney should really consider going back and editing the Kenobi show that it looks like this. And this is coming from someone, who can actually appreciate the sequels but was absolutely disappointed by the Kenobi show. One of the things that is most important for me is consistency within a fictional universe and the design of the Grand Inquisitor was absolutely hidious and looked nothing like the Pauan from ROTS. This fan trailer really shows what he should have looked like!

Star Wars future is more bright than you can imagine.. A. I. movie making will in a decade make it possible to create movies from your own sleeping room. You will be able to create SW movies by the fans, for the fans and disregard Disney completely and altogether.
