Arai SDM ko district ke sare department report krte h jese health, police , engineering department , panchayat sare department aur woh kisi ka bhi suspension ya transfer aur district ke kisi bhi department mai inspection kr skta h aur salary state mai sbse jyda state officer ki hoti h aur Ek SDM ko bunglow 2-3 acre ka 2 driver , 5-10 servants aur flight free train free , foriegn trip free rhti h medical n all sbh aur SDM ka court hota h district court jisme woh magistrate hota h aur section 144 , curfew , holiday announcement ek sub district ka excutive boss hota h election officer bhi whi hota h aur Jen aur AEN ke promotion na ke brabar h bilkul unko na gadi milti h na bunglow na driver na servants na excutive power bhut frk h dono mai

I think despite both being 24 hours job, AE has far better work life balance since they aren't directly answerable to politicians.

Please don't say this........AE in electricity board which is also denoted by title SDO is answerable to politicians parshads mukhiya and all.....in engineering department only department that can equate to civil services personnel's in terms of respect is electricity board SDO post....... everything thing in today's world work on electricity supply......when electricity board SDO goes in his area for inspection of electricity theft....then the power of electricity board SDO can be seen there......people bow down to SDO.....though many times crowd captivate SDO and JE but this is seen many times with DM and SP also......many times electricity board lineman and foreman along with je attaches meter of police station and sp office for not paying electricity bills on time.

Or dono post bahut awesome hai. Mera khud ka friend PWD aen tha uska RPS me selection hua or usne Dysp join kar lia.

Salary same kyu h jabki ek akela optional engineering subject bhi AE ke exam pe bahut bhari h AE exam objective hota h pcs exam mains dena hota h PCS, UPSC dono ke syllabus same h balki pcs me State ka extra bhi padna hota h upper se state me promotion late hota h jisko state me rahna ho ya jiski age jada ho wo UPSC de nahi sakte

Engineering k 4 subject mai GS k 4 subject khatam hain baaki mains bhi toh whi likhna pdta hai...ab optional mai Koi sa bhi subject le lo itni depth kahi ni pkdni pdti jitni engineering psc AE bnne k liye...engineering sirf memes mai easy hai bhaiya kbi Psc AE ki tyari kro pta chal jyga Ies itna difficult exam h ias se bhi sirf 200 bnda bnta hai hrr saal . Top Engineers and politicians runs world administrative officer toh bass gareeb aadmi ko tang kr skte hain haan koi secretery post pr ho ias wo alag baat hai ...state psc wale 10% he DM bnte hain wese bhi...State psc is just a gazetted clerk type job...Real administrative job is IAS.

@@tonystarkk2892 tum log bunglow dekh ke post ka pata karte ho.......woh bunglow kitne din rahta hai......3 saal 5 saal......koi IAS Puri zindagi DM rahta kya.....usko Puri zindagi bunglow milta kya.....muskil se 3 se 5 saal DM rahta koi IAS......uske baad kabhi siksha vibhag main kabhi chikitsa vibhag main toh kaabhi secretariat main..... secretariat main koi power nahi DM wali only 9 to 5 office work.......kaam aisa karo ki swayam woh banglow le Sako aur jab tak iss sarir main hi tab tak uske Swami raho.

AE is a gazetted group A post, with basic salary of 56100/-, plus that DA , HRA etc. Where as Sub Inspector is a non gazetted grp A post with basic pay of 32000/-. AE is in the same scale of state PCS (SDM) / for some states (BDO) , and also same scale with DSP in Police services. and now if you say power , so there is no post required to be powerful , the more connection with political persons , more are the powers , because the harsh truth is a 8th fail politician has much more power than an Honorable IAS/IPS oficer.

@@ahilyagodse tehsildar administrative officer hai, uske paas executive magistrate ki powers hoti hai, uski apni court hoti hai jisme wo jameen sambandhi vivaad, giraftari ki sunwai karta hai...uske paas tehsil ke law and order ki puri power hoti hai. Police dasta apne saath le ke chalta hai. Ae keval technical field se juda hota hai...uska public matter se koi direct interaction nhin hota
