The problem with all public employees is they go off what they think, not what they know.

These two were decent. Aside from not knowing the law on filming or have information request forms, they were very professional and courteous.

This is shameful, every Attorney working in the public sector should know the law. Although its good they learned, it is shameful that the attorney didn't know.

One record that would be great to get from an office that doesn't know our rights, would be to ask for all the training they get

Great job. Personally, when they ask why I'm recording, I answer "It's confidential", which is the polite way to say "none of your business". I love how the attorney was completely stumped when you gave him the simple answer, "It's in Washington at the National Archives, it's the 1st amendment of the US constitution, right to free press" 😄😄😄

Knowledge is very important, that makes you one tough character. This is my home town. I always enjoy the way you present yourself. One of the previous States attorney was very corrupt.

Not only do many government officials not learn or listen, but a lot of them double down and try to put up additional signs or press charges. It sure is nice to see officials that have the ability to think and grow. Great job with the education!

Wow, this attorney was learned enough to know of the 2 cases in 2014 where the supreme court of Illinois didn't strike down that law as unconstitutional, but slimy enough to avoid the clear rulings in those cases that it was unconstitutional to use that law in the very way he was suggesting it be used there and then.

I’ve heard this often : you can get this that or the other form online . Ok I get that but what if you don’t have digital access or you don’t want to do everything online ? Isn’t it the job of public servants to do exactly that . Serve the public , whether it be online by phone or , in person . Why else are they there ?

The list of Employees would All be listed in the Human Resources Department. Each Department should have a list as well. And there should Always Be Paper Request Forms for All areas and Also Complaint Forms ready available for Anyone needing or wanting one.

I've pulled many a book like the ones at 3:05 in multiple states over the span of 15 years. In Louisiana, you could actually pull the patent clear back to the Louisiana purchase. Title companies have gone to the wayside...a lost art in doing title searches "the old way." Glad to see that county still utilizing them. Cheers!

Why do people, especially public servants think they are entitled to not be filmed or you need permission to film in public???? WTF??? Why are they not trained on the bill of rights when they take that oath??? It's not that hard. Or maybe secure the private information??? Education and communication will set us all free. I must have missed it. When did the clerk clearly state to this citizen that he was being video recorded from the dozen cameras around the facility? Did she follow her own request and verbally state to everyone that they're being video recorded?

That State's Attorney works with pigs so often, that he doesn't understand the LEGAL requirement of Law Enforcement to notify private citizens that the POLICE are recording. That is NOT a requirement of private citizens to inform anyone else that they are recording when they are in public.

Excellent public officials treating taxpayers responsibly. I was impressed with the lady she relayed the information responsibly to the DA w/o embellishing and telling lies, she repeated verbatim. I suggest perhaps you should file a compliment form at the PD or City Hall. That would go a long way in training those staffs as well. On a different note...here in my hometown middle sized city in SW Mi. one Post Office hasn't posted the poster 7. I talked to the Mgr and he said he'd look into it. Then second time it still wasn't posted. So they gave me a Supervisor who fed me BS saying they were separate from Federal and don't get funds from them lol. I tried to find the postmaster but but was unsuccessful. If you ever get to SW Mi. I would be happy to provide video backup for ya.

We see far too often, individuals representing prosecutors office who don't know fundamental well-established rule of law. These guys spin color of law which they clearly understand is criminal. They were both reasonable and unaware. I am glad to see they both came around. This is the way that it should be done! You were calm, knew the correct laws and information and it changed their attitudes! Nice job! A real challenge, straighten out the SOS's Office! In Illinois, they still run that like you are an inconvenience to them, I hate dealing with Illinois bureaucracy, but the SOS Office is the WORST!
