Vaseline, isn’t meant to be a hydrator for lips, it’s meant to seal the hydrator that is put underneath. Vaseline may help keep moisture from escaping the lips. However, it’s not useful on its own if your lips are already chapped. Apply Vaseline on your lips after moistening them first with a humectant like aloe. Vaseline is known as an occlusive, which means it can hold in moisture. If you use Vaseline on your lips before they’re dry and chapped, you may be able to stave off dryness. However, petroleum jelly isn’t all that effective at restoring moisture once it’s been lost. So basically you should make sure that you moisturise your lips well, then seal it in with Vaseline. Personally I won’t use anything with Vaseline in. Sadly I wouldn’t buy Charlotte Tilbury products, no matter if they’re good or not.😊

THANK YOU sooo much for including the scents of everything!! I have a veeeeerrryy sensitive nose as well, but unlike you, I LOVE peppermint smelling lipglosses and balms. They tend to calm my stomach while other scents usually bother my tummy and make me nauseous. Thank you for including thorough reviews on all the balms so I can find what will work best for me!!

yes, the bite agave lip mask!!! Miss that one so much!!! Although it was so hard to squeeze out of the tube, specially during the winter season!! So so appreciate you making this video!!!! For a honey balm, Rohto Mentholatum make one of their (excellent) spf lip balms in a Rich Honey scent. My ultimate favourite overnight balm is Nuxe Reve de Miel which has honey but a very light scent, but as you say sure if you’d like the thick, matte texture and finish? For truly fragrance free lanolin, I higggghly recommend the Lansinoh nipple balm. It’s truly so good and I find way more effective and pleasant than the Lanolips line ❤

Watching for the second time bc this is so gd helpful. I'm def going to be trying a few, for sure the Dionis mask. I'm a massive fan of their stick balms (highly recommend it, like $6 or so at Ulta), and I like their other products too, so I think goat milk is an ingredient that I really get along with. Looking forward to seeing what holiday scents Laneige brings out this year.

I’ve had chapped lips for many years now due to a lot of things, skin picking on lips, liquid lipstick DESTROYING them, ETC! and I tried SO many lip balms! Some would help for maybe a few days before the cracks and peeling started again! The only thing that works for me ever is BAG BALM! It has literally made me stop worrying about my lips for about a month! I have a tin and a travel balm and a little bit helps so much!

I was obsessed with the og bite lip balm and the ONLY dupe I have ever found is the lanolips all over golden salve (not the lip balms, the salve). It is incredible! I still have a little bit from my old bite tube and the consistency is identical. I like the naturium lip balm but it lacks the lanolin which is the star ingredient in the bite formula and isn’t as moisturizing imo

@@StateofKait great question! It’s definitely not a replacement for our beloved Bite. I think it lies directly in the middle between a thin/thick texture and it’s super smooth. In fact, I have to be careful not to put on too much otherwise it moves outside the lip lines. You know how you describe balms by how they feel when you rub your lips together? I’m pretty sure you would like this one in that way. A little goes a long way so even tho the spatula is super cute, it’s an extravagance for sure (but I did use it quite a bit bc it made me feel super bougie🤣). The packaging is super lux with a mirror and a glass jar so it’s not the one I would choose for traveling most of the time. I haven’t tried the new colors and I debated on it but I think I’ll go back to the original since I mostly used it during the day at home while working.

Loved this video so much 😍 I can’t believe I watched over an hour just about lip balms but I enjoyed it so much. You’re so fun to listen to, I need more of these!! I would absolutely love a comparison like this of lip glosses, plumping treatments, lipsticks, lipliners etc… Also if you know of any lip products that don’t dissolve lip liner on the lips, PLEASE let me know! I often like to wear a lipliner + balm together but find that absolutely everything breaks up lip liner BUT if I don’t add anything, my lips are obviously quite dry with just the liner, so can’t win here! 😅

Within 2 days my lips were stinging and irritated.(;don’t ever have sensitive skin or lips ) I kept trying it , and had to throw out . I wrote Cay and they said it’s full of niacinimide. She stated maybe I was allergic to that ? ( doubt it because I’ve used on face for 4 years … needed to give you my research 😂😂

I have the road peptide lip treatment and salted caramel and it’s literally amazing my lips feel so plump and hydrated. I did have one issue with a grainy texture in the vanilla, but I haven’t had that issue with the unscented or the salted caramel. I actually looked up a KZfaq video that if you warm the waxes up in the hot, hot hot water, then cooled him off in Coldwater slowly it’ll go back to normal and I did that and it went right back to how it was before, but apparently Haley said they addressed that concern she made a KZfaq video about it.

Thank you for this very in-depth video!!!! I have extremely dry, eczema prone skin and horrible lips, so I always am looking for something that's thick and long-lasting. Right now I am trying the Elizabeth Arden 8-hour lip protectant. ( I don't think it lasts 8 hours,) but it absolutely makes my lips look and feel healthier. Interesting! I, too, was in love with the OG Bite nighttime lip mask….it was my one and only love. For me, the Osmia has been the closest at delivering the same results, even with the scent and texture being different. Though not a fan of the scent as well, I am willing to overlook that for the results.

Hi Kait!! Absolutely loved this video and appreciate all the work you put into this! I have 5+ balms I want to try now LOL I’d also like to mention how I really enjoy the Rhode balms! I have multiple laying around the house, and have not experienced the graininess you had. Not sure if I got a different batch, but I absolutely love these so might be worth giving another try!

Thank you soooo much for your work AND for putting timestamps on the video!! I first checked the ones I have used myself and know and then watched the whole of it so I have a bit of a feel if we think the same about products 😁 The nuxe one is now the same as the Paula's choice one btw, with the seal.. I even find nuxe easier to "break", maybe for a future experience 😊 Thanks again!
