Thanks 🙏 My “bad” feeling with such seasonal strategies is that we are building them on top of data that know. So it sure that will work. Can we have such with out of sample data? Thanks again 👍🏻

developing seasonal strategy is a different process. of course you can do it with OOS, but there is no optimization to do with OOS, instead you can easily look at the equity curve and see how last 1 or 2 years did (OOS). There are other ways to vet if the strategy is robust.

Where do you purchase your futures data?

It depends on what you trade, resolution and platform/broker you use. Csi, tradestation, qdata and many more offer great choices. Do some research to find the one that suits you, dont go for cheap as it will most likely be lower quality

@@StatOasis at time 12:25 the letter P at the end of this code: PT = Average(truerange data2, 10) * 2 * bigpointvalue * P;

it is just a modifier so if you change it to (2) it will double both values for PT and SL, you can take it out if you like as in the video it is set to 1
