Adding status effects like poison or wound infection would create more use for the improvised bolts. Think it's definitely worth exploring. DayZ needs more actually useful improvised features like this.

@@Kaygu_ There's little to nothing to test though???? cone hit boxes on trees? yea tested that within 10 minutes. The helmet is just a re skinned version of the combat helmet and the vikhr rifle is just a shortened different looks asval. Oh and they added a few different sounds. 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️ can't see how it takes weeks and weeks to test that.

@@leesaunders1930 there is a whole lot more that comes out with each update like patches for glitches, and a lot of the time when they patch something it fucks something else up. That being said, they are making sure that they don't accidentally put a game breaking bug into the game. However youre right about them adding fuckall this update in terms of equipment. The camo helmets are welcome but who the fuck asked for a bright desert camo helmet?

@@oemoemenoe When you open a door while trying to run inside/outside and the door closes on you and you clip into the door and get trapped. your camera will appear on the opposite side of the door but your actual hitbox is on the other. Im shocked you supposedly have that many hours and still dont know what Im talking about. Coming from a 4k hour player

This is DayZ, not a Rambo game. Crafted explosive bolts arent a thing that fits an immersive survival game like dayz. And neither is this event.

Shotgun bolts, grenade bolts. (All kinds IE: Frag, smoke, flash and pox attachment.) Similar to the ones used in ww1. We could also get syringes added and be able to cultivate sicknesses in them and create a bolt that causes different sicknesses.

Syringes , with healing buffs that can be crafted with various meds , would be cool to shoot up a more powerful substance to make the player have more heath temporarily or add like a health shield

I LOVE the cross bow. my god i never knew what an absolute killer it is and watching people freak out over their friends just dropping dead around them with no sounds its amazing ive single handed taken down 4 man squads with nothing but a cross bow and a mosin with one bullet.

I want to combine 40 mm ammo with bolts - since they are only armed when the spin it would only work with bolts that have feathers and it would need to travel a miimum distance to be armed - if that distacne hasn't been reached it would just make some blunt damage and fall to the ground to be picked up again

Nice, A tranquilizer would be good (MOD) and an Explosive bolt, make a poison bolt using mouldy fruit, mushrooms or a Human meat bolt nasty. looking forward to trying the new bolt. 👍

Hey @wobo, I’ve got a content idea. I run with a group of veteran players, many of whom have hung onto myths of DayZ past and never let go. I’m talking about a comprehensive list of glitches that used to be but are no longer. For example, OP cowboy hats, pistol holsters negating plate protection, Blaze double shot, etc. could be a rapid fire video. Food for thought.

DayZ needs more options for people who make servers, it’s so limited. Admins should be able to change what people spawn with, they should be able to put players in lists and then have list A spawn in one location, and people in list B spawn in another location. It doesn’t seem like that would be that hard to implement and would help people who run team based servers immensely

I feel like if this is becoming a thing, the morphine/adrenaline injections should be able to be crafted into a bolt using a stick rag and the item… or possibly the item/rags/iv kit and maybe the electric repair kit but not consuming the entire repair kit just like 25% or 50% of the parts in the kit

Fire bolt...rangs and bolt Improved fire bolt add fat Infectious bolt bolt plus guts Poison bolt bolt plus mushroom or rotten food Pox bolt bolt plus pox vial causes explosion on you as well so you have to run after crafting them to make the risk worth it Whistling bolt causes sound in flight to draw zeds away or to a specific locarion Just a few ideas... Fire bolt causes shock dammage plus 1 dammage every 10 seconds for 1 min. Enough to stop healing and cause some dammage over time Improved fire bolt increases dammage over time to 5 every 10 seconds Infectious bolt causes a wound infection if cut is not disinfected or tetra not used with 5 min Poison bolt causes a type of poisoning either food poisonijg for a small dot over long periods Pox bolt can cause pox infection unless treated within 1 minute Just a few ideas and how they could effect gameplay

Fire bolt( massive shock and Damage over short time) Dirty bolt (wound infection) Poison bolt(DOT for long period) Drug bolt(slow movement) Blunt bolt(KO) Barbed bolt(extra bleed) Maybe disease bolts but I’m really running out of practical ideas 😂🎉

I feel like that could have worked in a normal item that could restore health adding a magical bow as an event item is cool but adding ANYTHING else to improve the OVERALL experience is better. Dayz should instead have added a DBNO state so player have a last chance to survive

Pls clarify if damaged bullets can cause a jam. Everyone says it doesn‘t but some say it does, so this really needs a clarification

Just test it yourself, throw some ammo in a fire to badly damage it. Then load into a magazine. Almost certain it jams guns though, as I've had a jam whist my gun was worn before, pretty sure that shouldnt happen. So leaves damaged ammo being the only offender.
