Reminds me of being a kid in the 80s in the local working men's club. Metal ash trays, smokey rooms, pool tables, lively banter, stale lager smell, and this on the jukebox. Bloody brilliant 👏 long live the Quo.

They were good until they went commercial with In the army now, Burning bridges and all that lot, good songs, but awful compared to their eary stuff. Early Quo is 100 times better than late 80s-present Quo.

I love this song because it was one of my grans favourites, who has passed but when she passed i was given her records and this song was the first one i listened to and now everytime i hear it i feel so happy and sad at the same time because i feel like shes with me for at least while again

Brings back some happy memories watching this on TOTP just before Christmas in 1983 with my Dad aged 14 while drinking a shot of whisky, the first time I'd drunk spirits. 40 years on, I still love this song and whisky.

It reminds me of the very same, but it was only in 2016 when sadly Rick passed that I actually got big into status quo and that was the year that I got a guitar so the two combined I was hooked.

The first song that got me into Status Quo back in 1983 and a fine example of a country-rock ballad penned by Francis Rossi and the late Bernard Frost. Great uplifting tune with a very catchy chorus.

Status Quo is so far above the herd within their respective circles that it isn't funny. They rock with the best of them. But there was always present in their work those crucial elements of soaring vocal harmonies and relentless optimism, which has kept them in the upper echelons of it all for well more than a half century. Their motion picture, Bula Quo (which REALLY needs to be released in the NTSC format!!!!) was nothing short of answered prayer. Arguably one of the best rock and roll films of all time. God bless 'em.

II really miss these guys, they had some brilliant songs and this was one of them. Ol' Rag Blues and Drifting Away were my other favourites. Soundtrack of my youth down at the local pub with my mates with our motorbikes all lined up outside. Those were the days.

colemann76 Yes Favourite, because everyone is different!, I can’t understand how people find that concept so hard to grasp? - it was a massive hit as well (no 3) bigger than many of their other earlier records!, It’s not one of my Quo favourites, but it’s a great little catchy song!
