They'd grown apart yeah, as people do. They're very different from one another, but they didn't hate each other. Their relationship just changed over the years

they never hated each other that's not what they said Franciss said in an interview he still misses Rick but that he grieved so much after the heart attack that when Rick did die he just thought of how he was out of pain he never said it did not hurt but hedid most of his grieving before when the heart attack almost killed him i think it was shock and i am sure he cries in private he said he had a dream about Rick and he looked healthy and was just as he remembered him or something along those lines he was at peace they never said they hateeach other or do not miss rick
