Finding your channel has led me to the realization that that nothing on earth is without purpose. Finding your channel happened for a reason 🌿because it started me on my healing journey, It changed my perspective about life, it made me live more simply and even inspired me to start documenting my rural life which I once hated.

For me, that is the prefect way to heat and cook. Burning dry wood when it crackles and the smell is great too. 10:18 Same toaster I have. Does great toast. 12:05 I can sit, listen to and watch a log fire for hours, basically mediate and wind right down. Very relaxing indeedy..

When I worked in NHS England, I stayed in the same village as the Mountain Bothy Association secretary. When it came to paying my fees for the following year, I simply went round to his house. His wife answered and I told her that I had come to pay my fees. She shouts: " There's a Scotsman at the door wanting to pay his fees for the coming year!" I was laughing my head off as he stood there saying, " You could just have posted them, instead of coming all this way!" When I told him where I lived...tears streaming down his face and hysterically laughing even when I was walking away from his house. I hope all is well with you Rebecca. Take care. 🌹

Good Nz morning Becky. Love your channel. Not much chance of snow where I am. Top temp expected 26-27°C.. Just a suggestion for drying out boots. If it's possible, fill the inside with newspaper right to the toe end. It works. NEVER put them near fire, it destroys the natural oils in the leather. Carry with you a flat tin of leather dressing. And apply it to the leather when semi dry. As they finish drying, the leather dressing is absorbed into the leather through osmosis. Yes it takes time, but that's how you look after good quality boots. As for wild swimming, check out Natasha Brooks. She did a short 5min film, a few years ago about skinny dipping in mountain lakes around Wales. Plenty of snow too. Locate film "Bluehue." Now a mother of 2, @ 37yr she still gets out. Atb for 2021. Take care.

Great video to end your Scottish trip. I almost felt as relaxed as you in that very homely cabin! If I ever go hiking in Scotland I will look into joining the club for access to these buildings. Do you pay an annual subscription and then for every night you spend in the cabin? And they send you a key beforehand?
