There is one thing worse than people who do not love each other staying together under the same roof to raise their children. Joint custody, teaching your child to hate the other parent, to not want to go home with the other parent and punishing your children for not turning against the other parent is the most evil, vile thing divorced parents can do.

Children raised in divorced homes are more honest & children raised with parents sticking it out for their sake grow up to be liars b/c they sense the lie. 98.7% of the time.

This is straight bull shit. As a child of divorce you could not be more wrong. The most important thing I long for is my parents reconciliation. My parents has been the most destructive thing to deal with in my life. I’d rather there be arguments than the complete upheaval of my family and my life

John, I appreciate your comments and in your case it *may be* true. But in the vast majority of cases, the modeling and behavior of angry, arguing, separated-but-living-together parents creates a highly toxic home life, models unhealthy spousal interactions, that ultimately destroys a child's upbringing. I believe the stats show this too. You may not see this now, but in the long stretch of time, you will see what I say is true.
