In the second Video of Legends VS Ohlins I give my impressions after spending 5k on the Legends.
Comparing the Legend Rev-A's to the Ohlin 3-3's is a pretty big debate. Compared to stock it is impossible to go wrong with either of these shocks, the are both incredible improvements.
In my last video someone noticed I had put the shocks on the wrong side, so after swapping my shocks I give my 5k impression of the Legend suspensions as well as thank all my new subacirbers.

I’m sold. Going with the Legends myself. BTW, I commented in your first comparison video how we have the same bike, not so. I have a 2016 Ultra Limited Shriners/Firefighters version where you are running the Road Glide. Same paint scheme on the skins though Cosmic Blue Pearl. Yours is the only other bike I’ve seen with the same paint as mine. Thanks for the vid do.

I am late to the party but I am so glad to see you like the Legend shocks and that they are working for you. I would be disappointed in any shock factory or aftermarket that only lasted three years. I worked Parts for 35 years, Auto, light truck, heavy truck, ag, ex military and customs you name it, if it is on the road I probably sold parts for it. I like open and honest reviews like this. Excellent final question “which would I purchase again”. I appreciate the honesty regarding your initial install. I was in a worse condition as I purchased my 2021 Road Glide with Legend Arcs installed, went to bike week to have the pros look at it and they had to put 10 turns on the springs adjust the rebound. I put Legends on the front after an emergency stop had me looking at the sky when I checked my mirrors. Now I’m flicking and leaning like I’m on my Fat Boy. Interesting prayer rug. Subscribed. I had the Revo-A and they died after a 4000 mile trip. The right shock leaked oil and the left shock didn't have much compliancy. I had them dyno'ed and they were in a state of failure. The warranty was good so I had to have them replaced but living in CA and being a daily rider made the replacement program problematic because I would have to send the shocks and wait for the rebuild. During this time, I found an ohlins distributor in my area and got a set of 772 for less than what I paid for the Legends. I put the 772s on and it was night a day. The Ohlins performance was far superior to the Legends. I eventually installed their fork cartridges to match and now my bike corners well and rides smooth. Admittedly, Legends eventually sent me some refurbished shocks so that I could finally change out mine - after a few months of back and forth. However, I had already made the switch.
@OldFriendsandNewRoads
@OldFriendsandNewRoads 3 жыл бұрын
I was in the same boat since my stock air shocks were long gone and I had nothing to put on the bike to have the ohlins serviced. I have 7k on the legends and ride 2-up loaded down with camping gear 90% and they're still strong. I still plan on rebuilding the ohlins and look forward to trying them out again. I'm guessing shocks are just like anything assembled by humans, there's bound to be human error and a bad set every now and again. I'm glad you got something your into. I tell everyone that will listen that their first upgrade on a bike should be the rear suspension.

@@OldFriendsandNewRoads Legends states its warranty policies in a very straightforward manner on its web site. I asked the dealer I bought the shocks through if they could just swap out my old pair for a new pair and was told Legends won’t do that. Apparently the serial number of each shock is linked to the serial number of my motorcycle as part of the registration process at time of shock purchase. Also, Legends wants to inspect failed parts as a step in its quality improvement and engineering process. That’s all good, but I have no idea how long my bike is parked while the shocks are being rebuilt. In fairness, that motorcycle was ridden two-up, heavily loaded from the midwest to Alaska and back and the trip included some horrible roads. So the shocks did take a beating.
