I've been crocheting for fun, and gift giving, for several years. I recently signed up for my first craft fair (2 1/2 months out), and was definitely spinning my wheels and panicking about how to prepare. THANK YOU for breaking it down into such simple steps. I just determined that with inventory I already have, I'm already 3/4 of the way to my Inventory Goal based on my Good Goal. That has me feeling much better about being prepared. I watched a couple other of your videos today, and found them all helpful. You have a new Subscriber! 😁

I’ve seen lots of vendors (myself included) say, “it was ok…i made my table money back (fee to get in)”…. as their goal

Sometimes, a net 0 is the best we can get for a day... which on one hand is positive because we, at the very least, made our investment back. But, it also means the time and energy spent did not translate to profits for that day. Our goals should always far exceed breaking even! It is not a failure to break even, but our mindset must be geared toward something far beyond!

@@batullakdawala8931for registration, I just for the website. Sometimes they don’t have one, I’d just look for another market i your area if there’s no instructions on vendor sign ups. Again, good luck to you!

I literally searched this morning on how to prep/build up market stock. I don’t do markets (yet) but I do have a space in my sister’s coffee shop to set up a little station for my crochet makes. I found you Wednesday and have already binged all your videos! I love your style! You are a treasure trove of information and inspiration! Our shop is in a little tourist-y town. I currently have coffee sleeves/drink coozies, chapstick holder keychains, market bags, and mushroom holder necklaces. I LOVE using cotton but after seeing all your velvet, I think I want to expand some of my options! Thank you for your content 🤗

Mostly I Love This Cotton and Sugarwheel from Hobby Lobby. I like it because it’s so soft. I’m currently looking for some that is sturdier but not so rough on the hands (like peaches n cream/sugar n cream) that I can use for my market bags. I made myself work through my “rough cotton” and my hands were not happy with me 😅

So this was super helpful! Like the OP i just found you the other day and binged all your episodes,too (and fan-girled when you commented back! 😱). I don’t know if this is something you could do for a future video but maybe talk about a business plan or a good way to plan out a little crochet business. I’ve been knitting and crocheting and selling for years but just here and there-nothing serious. But I want to make it more serious. However, I tend to get really distracted or want to go from 1 to 100 as fast as possible but have no idea how to get there. I need help in planning and I’m not the best at it.

Do you mind if I ask how it went, next year during fall and winter, I plan on making a big batch of warm crotchet accessories to sell for my First market, so I'm just curious on how much I could make on a good day since I'd be putting a lot of money and time and I don't have much of either since I work full time and don't make much😭

Do you typically put separate price tags on your items or do you use signage?

For smaller items (like my keychains and scrunchies) I use signage, but for most everything else I put individual price tags on the items! I think there are many benefits to this, such as each tag also possibly acting as a business card, as well as being able to leave any care-instructions on the tags!

😂😂 I can see how that's disorienting! But, sales goals can definitely be affected by past performances! For me, because of my previous shows related to this event, I had a ballpark range of sales goals!

It took me a while to find the right markets for me, and now I tend to have my core markets I do every year and then maybe 1 or 2 new ones! The important part is just to try some! There are some important factors when initially deciding, such as looking at who usually attends as customers and if they fit the type of person you intend to sell to!
