Me and two friends did what I can only assume is a stealth camp a few years ago when going to a public air show. We arrived mid-late afternoon, hiked about a mile out of town and up a narrow dirt path into a wooded area in the hills, set up a tent and a small fire off the path and up a steep embankment and had a good time chilling away from civilisation for the night. In the morning we did see a few people walking the path, but no-one paid us any attention and we cleared up whatever mark we made on the area before going to the air show and then going home. Saved ourselves a fair bit of money that we'd otherwise have had to spend on a B&B (the train tickets alone were enough, frankly).

I"ve walked\driven past there many times over the years but never thought it would make such a luxury wild camping experience! Great stuff 👍

i gotta say i watch over 40 different hikers and campers regularly but you've just topped the list honestly, i think what what be fun is to find a large roundabout and have a youtube gathering of about 15 people all to stealth camp a roundabout

As a teen I had a mate I’d camp with in this little cove on the underside of a fishing wharf. We’d bring a bottle of vodka, get drunk and enjoy being a foot above the water.

And thank you for a lovely video, I'm too scared to stealth camp in the city (where I live it's even dangerous really, I feel awful for the homeless who have no choice). It's thrilling to watch others partake, even though I would only be able to do maybe mild stealth camping like in the wilderness or outside of town, but in places I technically shouldn't camp, etc. I commend the guts of people who can do it right in the city, like you and Steve. I’m a subscriber to Steve, and now I’m a subscriber to you! I’m from the North East and I lived in Sunderland for a couple years. These sorts of videos help me when I’m struggling to sleep, there’s just a very cosy feel to stealth camping.

Something I've always wanted to try, but sadly here in Norfolk we have some crap drivers and quite often see cars upside down on roundabouts in the morning. Which obviously puts me off. 😅 Lovely tribute to Steve.

Just a heads up mate, I work cutting grass and pruning shrubs for the council and that roundabout you went into may very well be littered with syringes. Please be cautious of this as we find them in shrub beds all the time. We don't like walking in them, nevermind laying down and sleeping in them. Be safe
