I love Montana. I have lived here all my life, currently in Miles City. We have a cool little lake here with a bunch of species to catch. (walleye, sauger, pike, bass, trout, panfish, buffalo, drum, etc)

Mav I thought that you were camping out in a [GMC] Canyon puckup like how your title of this video suggested. But I see now that you capitalized every word within the title of your video to which is not needed.

The refrigerator should be plugged in 12 volt not using the inverter. The inverter more power to convert 12 volts to 120 volts than just running on 12 volts. You also probably don't need to keep it that cold I typically run my on 30 when I'm on a long trip

if it runs on 120 volts then 12 volts will underpower it like crazy, probably wont work

I'm a vandweller who lived in a van in '08 and South Dakota Badlands was my first national park when I came down from Canada. It took my breath away. I have always had a very soft spot for SD and Badlands in particular. Secret to proper boondocking is to get to the spot before dusk.

The badlands are absolutely gorgeous and beautiful. I went as a child and now want to take my child with. Hoping to take my grandparents just like they took us. 🥰

You should put up curtains or some type of window cover in the back, that would make stealth camping ever easier!!

I love how you've set up the bed of your truck with drawers and a sleeping platform! I want to build something similar for my hubby's truck, but I still have to repair his camper top. I hate working with fiberglass, lol!

I went out to Mount Rushmore a few years ago and on the drive there we went to the badlands. It is just a gorgeous place I would definitely go again! I hope you have fun!

Hey mav I was thinking about your fridge and i just was wondering if you had a separate circuit for it. def think you should try to get some solar panels and have a system to manage all of your power. Also Idaho has a lot of trout and is super under rated would be nice to get that fly rod out. tight lines

Get two agm 6v batteries and run them in series. Put a isolator on the truck so you can charge the battery bank while driving and Ihave a solar panel on top for when your boondocking. Also get rid of the inverter your wasting power going from 12v dc to 120ac back to 12v dc. Just hook the fridge to the 12v battery bank.

Brother I live in Arizona I absolutely love pink grapefruit it grows everywhere along with the lemons the limes the oranges but you need to learn how to cut one after you cut it in half you need to take your knife and you'll see all the little triangles run your knife along those triangles scoop each triangle out and eat it

You should check out the Navajo Reservation in Arizona. Good camping spots. And do a quick shout out to the Navajos.

Hey Mav, if you ever come back through South Dakota you have GOT to stop at a little burger joint called the Sugar Shack. It’s located in between deadwood and hill city and they have the best burgers in the Midwest hands down!
