This short documentary is about Roaring Camp's Heisler locomotive. This locomotive originally worked foe the Westside Lumber Company, a logging railroad in Tuolumne County.

I vaguely remember (its been at least 12 years) but when I was a lad I remember seeing the #2 (really #3) under steam. I actually had no idea how lucky I was to see her, but I was a little upset to go and find that Dixiana was not running that day. Even back then, Dixie meant a lot to me...

God that heisler loco is a pain in the ass to use. Mainly because it is very light but has alot of power (hence alot of wheel slip)

So there is some 4 engines that pull passengers it is hiesler # 2, the small engine # 3, shay # 1, and shay # 7 right.

DJ Anthony Vasquez Vlogs yeah. No. 3 “Kahuku” doesn’t go up the mountain today. Because the switch back is used for geared steam locomotives.

@@Connor-gb6ioThere is, it’s a 2 truck shay known as Daisy. It’s currently not operational although the engine set was run via a steam hose a few years ago.
