Steamed Whole Chicken Dinner in Ninja Possible Cooker

Here's an easy recipe using the steam function of our new Ninja Foodi Possible Cooker. A few ingredients, a bag of mixed vegetables, small yellow potatoes, some seasonings and a 4 lb whole chicken. So very healthy and delicious!

I was skeptical when I first watched this but tried it. And OMG I’m so glad I did! Thank you for sharing this amazing way to cook a whole chicken in the ninja! Have a fantastic day and thanks for the great dinner idea! I did use canned veggies instead of frozen (it’s all I had on hand) but they worked great. Also I used russet potatoes washed and roughly sliced.

That made a nice meal. I love cooking with Vidalia onions. Nice mild, sweetness to them. Hope you and Rick are staying warm. We are in the teens. Had enough of winter already.

Greetings. If you were cooking baby red potatoes, baby carrots 🥕, fresh sliced mushrooms 🍄 and large frozen shrimp (or fresh. Would you recommend the steam setting or slow cooker? Also, how long would you suggested the cook time? I also added vegan sausage and they were no longer firm. I have the pro version of this ninja foodi possiblecooker. I made the about before and based lost the everything except for the potatoes 🥔. Everything was still good just mushy. More like baby food. Gratitude for your time.

Good questions. if I were cooking the potatoes and carrots, I might cook them a while on slow cooker setting before adding the things that cook quicker such as shrimp, vegan sausage and mushrooms. Throw them in after a few hours of cooking the harder vegetables. The steam function might make things more mushy. I usually save that for the whole chicken or large pieces of meat. Hope that helps.
