Sorry but nothing will ever top the original movie the first one had so much emotion this one not so much stop remaking all the classics I'm still not over what they did with sparkle

I love Steel Magnolias. This... this was a high school play esque. You cringe thru most of it and at the end you clap 5 times, give a thumbs up, and say good job buddy, good job. It was not good!

This was horrible. Stop trying to remake Classics. They are classics for a reason. Everything came together when making the movie. It was the perfect cast. The perfect writer. The perfect set designer. Etc. and it all came together to make a classic. Beautiful done piece of art. I just watched the new color purple and I have the same opinion. Stop trying to remake Classics. It’s better than this was. The new one is tolerable but it’s still just a sad imitation.
