I haven't watched a Steeler game since the DISGRACEFUL Tunnel Incident of 2018 when they threw Villanueva ( a 4 tour of duty in Iraq Army Green Beret under the bus and then made him apologize for being a God Respecting Patriot because he was the only one that possessed a ball sack big enough to represent the entire team when he took his helmet off and proceeded to sing OUR National Anthem outside the tunnel word for word. Up until that point, his t-shirts were flying off the shelves but, Tomlin made that come to a screeching halt immediately. I made a promise to myself to not watch another Steeler game until they got rid of Tomlin. It's been 6 years and, I'm still keeping that promise.😁🤘

@@Alex_Kozora Try looking into the ineptitude of our run game inside the redzone/goal to go. With our steady diet of run, run, dump to rb, and at no time have the big three in on a play action on 1st or 2nd down. Bottom third of the league in efficiency. It would be a good place to start. Some terrible takes: - How did Tomlin let our ridiculous punter keep his job l year? He sucks and helped set the tone early as he often does. - Who won the coin toss? How did the Bills manage to defer to the second half AND get the wind direction advantage on the first quarter. A HUGE mistake even before the game started. We needed the lead. - How demoralizing is it that we abandon the run on 2&goal inside the 5, then go down 21-0, the start the next drive with a run up the middle. That was sad. - Porter gets drilled in the back of the head and Tomlin doesn’t even question the refs. - Minkah is overrated. Good safety getting paid great money. - They had to force a TO from Cook or Allen, both were TO machines. They got none.
@mc1993
@mc1993 6 ай бұрын
IMO, -Tomlin released Braden Mann, who was clearly better, and kept his buddy Harvin. Mann, picked up by PHI, ranked 7th in the NFL this year yds per punt. Harvin is 32nd. - IDK game prep on the details non-existent again? - Because we stink on Goal To Go running the ball, in case you blocked it out of your memory...even with Mason. Bottom 3d in the NFL. We can run between the 20's, but not RZ or G2G. On rare occasion we score a rush TD, but after how many 'turnover on downs' or FG's inside the RZ cuz of run run dump pass to RB, we stink. - I couldn't call it 'got drilled', but should have gotten a flag. My issue was Allen getting the flag when he slid, yet when Rudolph slid and got hit...nada. - Minkah, nah, he laid a great hit earlier, but that one just got away from him...where was the rest of the D? Swarm to the ball we are not. coaching. - Doesn't surprise me from a coached team such as our. Our middle was abused all day, except for that one nice almost pick by Rowe.

If they dont turn it over, the game would have come down to whoever has the ball last. Defense really needs a true strong safety to pair with Minkah and a true Nose tackle. They can get by with two very solid corners on both sides as long as they have two great safeties. Minkah has his hands tied right now trying to make up for others' mistakes. Kazee took a terrible angle on that long Josh Allen run. I doubt Cam is coming back another year. He looks done. It's time to put Benton in Cam's spot and find a massive NT to plug the middle so teams cant run on us. You have to make teams one dimensional, and without a nose tackle, it's hard to do that consistently. Center is another position that is a very high priority. Take the best center in the draft. This team is not far off. Let Kenny and Mason battle it out. They can win with either of them, but they can't rely on them, so they need more pieces in place to help them succeed.

@@davidpollard4051 Mason has far better fundamentals. He's been here since 2018 and understands our stupid philosophy of not aggressive passing, but passing to move the chains as an extension of the run game. Ball Control. Tradition. That is dictated by Art Rooney II. Only when the game is on the line, do we go aggressive. Kenny & Mitch don't 'understand' that they are being forced into game managers and each one falters due to their own issues. For a minute forget individual play, and look at game plan. Preseason, we used aggressive route tree and they all looked good. Start of the season, Ball control running and short sit/sideline outs route tree, 4th QTR comeback wins was nothing but aggressive route tree for receivers and a "normal game plan of passing to score, not to move chains while dominating time of possession". There is a reason we hire within. There is a reason Canada said "this offense isn't built to come back from big leads" and he was here for 3 years with Rooney's blessings. Sure, remove Canada, go aggressive passing w/aggressive route tree vs Cincy and Pickett looks good again, just couldn't get TDs. VS Arizona... back to ball control, Pickett 1 intermediate/deep pass the entire half before injured. Trubisky is a risk taker, and will always stink in our Ball Control game manager offense, because it's risk adverse. Trubisky also throws anticipation passes. We don't use that. Mason did that to DJ in the endzone on the quick comeback. Interception. Never throw a pass like that to DJ unless he is looking at the QB...like his TD. Sorry for the longwinded reply. *tldr;* It's the mandated offensive philosophy of Rooney, and how any QB can cope within. Mason understands that better, and can work within.

Over the years, Fitz is always near or at the top in solo tackles, and I think injury + all those ridiculous roughness/roughing flags he's been getting + all of the injuries to our inside LBs and defensive backs has the whole D riding the edge of always bend, try not to break. definitely has him getting smoked sometimes, but I still think he's solid. Now with JPJ, and Rowe, and hoping Cory Trice & Keanu Neal live up to expectations next year...and better coaching, could be much better.

@@Lew2000 for years our Defense is bend but don't break, and relies on splash plays. Poor between the 20's, strong against scoring. Our offense is Rooney mandated run game first, aggressive splash plays here and there. The reverse of our Defense, strong between the 20's and poor in redzone/goal to go TD scoring...we are bottom third of the NFL. Then there is coaching. All this can win in the regular season vs lesser teams (aka winning ugly), but in the playoffs, we're playing top teams in all-around endzone to endzone Defense & Offense, and coaching, which leads us to be outscored 122-40 in the first halves of the last 5 playoff games. Also, with the injuries, it reduced our splash play takeaway differential.

I cannot stress this enough, this team was not built to win a playoff game. The team is just not that good. It is almost like we as fans think our team should win every game. Pittsburgh has not had a good team in a while. At the start of the year, they were not even supposed to be in the playoffs. I just think we have to be real and understand we just aren't there yet. Injuries and lack of overall talent just continues to be an issue. Overall, the Steelers are a team, right now, that cannot afford mistakes. They just cannot recover. So, yeah, this is what happens. But, I am not disappointed but really I think they overperformed this year. Some would disagree, but when you look at it, through all the chaos, they were 10-7 and had a shot in the playoffs. For a bad team, that is pretty good.

@@Dee-nonamnamrson8718 I know. It’s crazy. Like we have a guy that we actually developed. And they wanna just let him go. I would sign him to a 2-3 year deal 10+ million per year and let him start most likely. Can still draft a QB as well and have Kenny. Then you have 3 capable guys with Mason obviously being the best with a Kirk Cousins level ceiling which he’s currently at. He’s big and strong he’s perfect above average QB in my opinion.

@@Jesse.George 100% agree. Although I kind of hope Rudolph takes another contract, because any time he makes a single mistake, fans will be screaming to get a different QB.

JPJ, Wallace, Peterson, & Kazee are far too weak as tacklers. So when 4/6 of DBs you have can’t set an edge or aren’t very physical throughout the play.. Then you’re bound to have runners plow through you like this. Makes you miss Mike Hilton and the anomaly he was getting it done being smaller then all of these guys smh

How do you spend so much time on the punter and not talk about the horrible officiating? Talking about things from nearly a decade ago? Doesn’t have anything to do with this team. Lousy analysis.

The news today is that Mediocre Mike is returning next season! More Kenny the Poo and maybe 9-8! More slop , no tackling , discipline, or points.

Just a request. Please find a job or a team you don't hate and write about them. You've ruined Steelers depot and your hate for the team is making me as sick as your constant belief that you know more about football than Mike Tomlin and everyone on his staff. Just go away if its not fun anymore and stop trying so hard to ruin it for everyone else. You might think you're a fan but you are not a steelers fan at all. The only "fans" that like you are the Tomlin haters and that isn't a fan group. Its a political group.

He did play well outside of the first quarter. If you can't win with 239 passing yards, 2 TDs and 1 Int, then offense isn't your problem.

@@kylesmith8061 He led the offense to within 7 by the fourth quarter. The defense laid an egg. They were down 2 touchdowns before he threw the interception and they were getting desperate. Expecting any qb to play 4 perfect games while averaging 239 yds per game is asinine. Steelers don't deserve Rudolph. You deserve Kenny Pickett and Mitch Trubisky. Have fun with that.

@@kylesmith8061 Enjoy 3 more years of 7-10, which is what the steelers would have been without Rudolph. On the bright side, maybe you will be bad enough next year to get a first round draft pick. With coaches that thought Trubisky was better than Rudolph, it will most likely be another bust.
