😢 me too! 38. My dad used to play these when we traveled long distance to visit family. He was kidnapped in Bulgaria in 12.10.1997 I was 12. Moved to the US at 17. Never heard or saw him again. Looked and searched and poured over it until 2019 when I realized I will never know. I will never have a grave to visit. He was vanished. He is only a memory, a voice, a smell, a smile, daddy...only alive within my own mind, memories stored in my brain. And blood running in my veins. He lives! As long as my heart is beating. I'm sorry Daddy, I really wish I was older and stronger when you got into trouble. I wish I was there picking those fuckers with the shotgun. I wish I wish... it tears me up when I think I'll neve sit down with him for a beer to pick his brain and challenge him and watch him delight in my having grown into a female version of my mom and him blended completely into a new being. But painfully obvious a product of the two. With his spit fire character and a touch of my own cheeky way infused in via my soul. Loss is so profound. You feel the empty gutted feeling and the heart that literally feels like broken glass so much so you find yourself clawing at your chest as if you can take it out and throw it away to end the torture. Then you truly understand and learn to value every life because one death can destroy so many lives, cause so much pain, same pain you and I know. No one life is worth more than any other. Everything animated by God has the right to live. This is what we as society should be zealously protecting and pouring over- THE UNALIENABLE AND ABSOLUTE SOVEREIGN RIGHT TO LIVE! I'm sorry I went on a rant. Just wanted to say I'm also 38, ,my dad also thought me those songs and I'm missing him too. It's pretty wild. I hope you succeed in all your affairs, but more than that I hope that you live a joyful and content existence. I hope you won't ever have to feel loss again. Sending you light and love fellow soul! Hang on there this is just a crazy mission we've embarked on. Before we know it we'll be home with everyone else we love, some will be there to greet us others will be coming later but we ARE eventually all going HOME. Where we can all laugh anout this.💛

I'm 52 and grew up in the 1980s-90s as a young man. We loved the music but didn't appreciate how special it was at the time. There were so many great bands...we thought it would continue forever. Those were some of the best years of my life. The freedoms we had in Canada at that time, the standard of living and time to enjoy life is something my two boys (teens) will never experience again. Thankfully my oldest enjoys this era of music.

This song, means something to me. Not emotionally, nor the lyrics parallels my life - but the way he sings, the way guitar cries along with him, the way the drums synchronize with my heart beat, and the way he says the "girl" in four different painful, tantalizing and heartbreaking pitches - just got me. I cannot stop listening to this one. This is such a powerful song. I hope, this song never resembles my life - because, I can't take it.

Literally can not describe my love for music like this. I wasn't born in the times music like this was made, but all through the years I was growing up my dad played nothing but music like this...the good stuff and if he didn't I don't know what type of music i'd be into right now. Music like this is what you call music, its the kind that tugs at your heart strings and has a real meaning in the lyrics than then crap they make these days.

Firehouse, Slaughter, Steelheart and a few others were a little late in the game. Bands like Winger,White Lion and Skid Row had a 2 year headstart. Back then Grunge got blamed for killing glam rock but Grunge was shorter lived.

I heard this for the first time only last weekend. This is incredible. His vocal range is outstanding. I loved the piano intro, followed by the guitar, followed by his voice. His voice is 3.36 is just nuts. He has so much control. I've listened to it over a dozen times since.

La primera vez que escuché esta música tenía 10 años, la grabé en un cassette y la escuchaba todos los días a la salida del colegio, era como una droga que me levantaba el ánimo! Luego perdí el cassette y nunca más la volví a escuchar xq no sabia el nombre del grupo, a pesar de buscarlo durante años en KZfaq, ahora gracias a SoundHound la encontré tarareando luego de 26 años xq ya tengo 36.😃 Ese comienzo con el piano, esa guitarra y esa voz sencillamente LA PERFECCION ECHA UNA OBRA MAESTRA!!! ESTIMULANTE MENTAL PINEAL... CHEMBOPIRIMBA= Me eriza la piel de principio a fin! ESTOY FELIZ X HABERLO ENCONTRADO!!!

Me identifico mucho, me pasó lo mismo, tenía 15 años cuando conseguí el cassette de este álbum, su primer disco. lo escuchaba a diario, hasta que una vez lo presté a un amigo y en su casa la hermana se lo quemó, solo me había quedado con el librito del cassette. Nunca pude volver a escuchar sus canciones y en ese tiempo era muy difícil encontrar esta música, que ya sólo existía en mi mente. Muchos años despues pude conseguir el Disco Original traído desde gringolandia hacia Honduras, fue una gran felicidad escuchar de nuevo estas canciones, me recuerdan mi adolescencia. "She's Gone" y "Can't Stop Me Lovin' You" son mis favoritas, y en mi opinión Michael Matijevic el mejor vocalista de la época, insuperables agudos.
