The actuation is how fast a key will activate. For example if you have your W set to .2mm which is the lowest value, a slight touch will register the keypress. It will be pretty fast and sensitive compared that to a regular mechanical keyboard you have to be pressing about 50% or more in order to for the keypress to register. The Rapid Trigger Sensitivity means when you are bottoming out a key for example you are pressing your W key and fully bottoming it out and you have it set to .1mm which is the lowest value. The moment you let the key go the key will stop right away and when you press down again it will actuate again.

Try reinstalling the SW. Thats pretty odd. All apex pro with omnipoint switches should have this.

yes it is. Alot of fortnite players seems to enjoy the apex pro mini. I think it's because of some features that the keyboard has like Double actuation or something else I can't remember but yeah Apex Pro at lowest sensitivity is extremely fast.

I don't mind it but I got sent out a bunch of keyboards to review including wooting so this keyboard is just gonna sit inside the box.

I think you can try resetting to factory the keyboard then reinstalling the GG Engine, and the firmware.

@@Fire-kl4kw I actually cannot find it. For some reason you're able to factory reset the Apex Pro Full and TKL version because of the media button with the oled screen

@@Fire-kl4kw just hold down the button under the wheel and plug in the usb cable at same time it will reset :)

You can try resetting if possible then reinstalling the latest firmware or RMAing and getting a different unit.

It's personal preference. Highest being the fastest technically is better but it's something you need to get used to. You basically stop in an instant the moment you start lifting the button.

I don't think it does since it's using opticals. I know Razer has RT on theirs but perhaps steelseries hasnt added RT on their optical keyboards

You can bind two different functions to two different actuation levels on your switches. They demo this on the steelseries video like you can run and walk with just a W key without pressing shift for example.

Is this since the latest firmware update? Or you had it in the previous firmware too?

@@Shrubbity in the previous version rapid trigger was set to 0.2 and you could not change it but now you can change it from 0.1 to 4.0, so arguably 0.1 mm is faster and I can feel the difference in game.

I have mine set to .1 on WASD with .4mm Rapid Trigger Sensitivity and I never had this issue on mine. I have seen that issue before perhaps Steelseries also fixed that with the latest firmware

@@Azrael32 Ah nice, that sounds like it's even better assuming you're talking about the rapid trigger release sensitivity. But the comment which you agreed with was also mentioning that at 0.1mm release sensitivity the keys are pressing a million times a second, which sounds like a bug or a bad thing? So it's worth updating for the adjustable rapid trigger sensitivity?
