Steely Dan. If you don’t like them, there’s something wrong with you. If you’ve never heard them (so many haven’t), you’re missing out. They have such a unique sound. Jazz, funk, and rock. But with a twist. Donald Fagen. He’s brilliant.

SD's grooviest blues song! I have loved them since the 70s. King Of The World is one of my favs. There is a short documentary on how they recorded Aja. It's really informative on how specific Fagan and Becker are with their sound.

There is no filler on any of their albums. Not one dud of a song. Years-long discography, all of it good. Their first album has only a hint of the jazz to come, but all good, with their first smash hit.

If you want some newer Steely Dan, check out “West of Hollywood”. It has an extended sax solo. It’s off the album “Two Against Nature” released in 2000.

@@simplysteve5149 Lunch with Gina is from the final SD album released in 2003 called “Everything Must Go”. But I agree both albums are great.

@@MichaelTrogdon1990 Yeah your right....I tried to edit it to correct myself but the edit did not seems to take hold. I saw Steely Dan twice and I never get tired of their musical precision and the way they use so many layers of instruments. I like seeing these reaction videos when people hear SD and are unlighted to real musicianship.
