Do you ever see your steering wheel shaking at an idle. Usually internationals for the most part. Check out the play in your steering shaft. If it clunks than you found your problem. If it’s minor try to grease it up heavy. Either way hi that like and Subscribe. Every like is a sea turtle saved.

Put the seat belt through the steering wheel so you dont loose center of clock spring for air bag!

I have an international steering wheel vibrates loud while idling and driving from 0 to 5mph. The sound is loud and annoying. It does not do it when I'm driving at speeds greater than 20 miles an hour. And also when I sent in idle and actually turn the steering wheel theloud vibrations don't take place either. My mechanic suggested a whole new steering column/ wheel , he says all internationals makes that noise like that. So I wonder if replacing the same part in your video will be the solution. I don't want to spend the money and still deal with the same loud vibrations tho.

Thanks for reaching out. That vibration is uslaly cased by a poor design from international. There ujoints in the steering column were failing and so were welds on the steer shaft itself. Replacing the shaft like in the video will help with vibration in the steering wheel.It wont be perfect as theres always some but it will make a big difference. Hope that helps.

Shaking can come from many issues. This will just be one of them.

Great question. Mainly your going to notice excessive vibrations in the steering wheel. You might also feel loose steering , binding, and harder to control at slower speeds.

I believe it was 30-35ft lbs.

Literally going through the same issue with my Prostar I got from Penske, just was following up with you seeing were you able to diagnose what the issue was?

@@dreadman3 No. Our trucks are also from Penske. We have atleast 3 trucks that do this. We report them every time we get our PM's done and they've done nothing about it.

Man I hear your there. You can thank KZfaq for that. They tend to shut down audio when they think there’s a copyright issue. I’ve learned to not have music in the background on other videos.
