The arms of the Steewart and Gees apparatus should be adjusted to keep in 0-0 position. One should not orient the magnetometer. The apparatus should be in magnetic meridian

Tq sir, ur explanation nice... I hav a doubt... My subject master said me the deflection must be in between 30 degree to 60 degree.. Because the galvanometer is more sensitive to 45 degree.. But u r taking 70 degree also... Can u pls explain

If thita is kept small accuracy decrease.at 45 degrees accuracy is maximum
