thanks so much for taking the time to make this video :D ! We just got the Pocket 2 today and i've found your video really helpful and easy to follow ! LOved that part about face tracking being on or off when walking on uneven ground !! it looks so much smoother without it and it would not have been something i would have thought of right away.

Very good and fair review, thanks. Some points of detail - Some users are finding the battery saver mode can look better than HQ mode due to the amount of noise reduction in the latter mode. I suspect DJI will be tweaking this in firmware. They'll also be tweaking the face tracking which can go ape sometimes. For ND filters, I'm happy with the single variable filter that I have, rather than carrying a box full of fixed ones and having to pick the right one for the shot. YMMV! As you discovered, the 64MP result for photos can be inferior to the 16MP (or is it 12?). It's a quad beyer sensor so not a 'real' 64MP. When you put the camera in the case, make sure the power button is on the inside, otherwise it's not hard for it to get accidentally powered up (which is not good for the gimbal. Comparing audio from the wireless mic and the internal mics, really you need to have the internal mics set to "front" and "mono" for that specific situation. It's well worth experimenting with the comprehensive internal mic settings to work out what works best for which shot (or see my video on the subject :) ) And bear in mind that you can attach an external mic (stereo if you want) direct to the handle - and the same socket provides headphone output to check what you've got (with volume controlled by swiping up or down on the screen - hidden feature. I know digital zoom isn't a recommended way of doing things, but within limits, it does work quite well as these things go. Battery life - if you are a heavy user, then it's worth carrying an external battery pack for a quick charge between shots. DJI advise against using external power while the device is in use due to potential overheating issues, but the camera doesn't actually stop you doing that.

Having shot using DSLR and mirrorless videos, I will say that this is a great option. When I am in a city or traveling, the weight and theft worry is alone, something for me to consider. I recently shot some footage for a client, yes monetized, and she couldn’t tell a lot of difference while using the Pocket 2. This little tiny camera is so discreet, that I can just pull it out and shoot freely without the need to worry.

As an older person with slight hand tremors this camera is exactly what I needed. It takes the shakes out nicely. It will truly be my pocket camera. One tip. I tried using it as a 2nd camera (on a tripod) for a sit down education video only to discover that I hade left the tracking on and the gimble adjusted for every little head movement. Yeah, I couldn't use that footage.

Definitely not waterproof so no I haven't used in the rain. I have dropped it, bashed it, I even had a drone accident LOL. Ill make a follow up long term video on it to show you how durable it is. It just keeps going perfectly!

Despite its 64MP sensor, DJI Pocket 2 is not a real 64MP camera as it only capture photos with a resolution of 16MP, using four-in-one pixel binning.

"Filming", people still using that word even when modern cameras don't use film. Anyway I think I'll wait for a Pocket 3 maybe or until DJI masters a decent HDR option.
