I had no idea this one existed until I came across your video. I had really hoped that they'd release a 39mm version with a cyclops, and here it is!

This is my GADA watch. I absolutely love it.

One sees right away the difference between the Gnomon and Olko watch dials; one having a vintage patina no cyclops, and the other a new looking dial and cyclops. It's easy to understand why Gnomon left out the cyclops due to the shape and it magnifying the indices. For me, the vintage dial 39 mm watch with no cyclops is my choice. It's always informative when a review states wrist circumference as shown with watch on stated wrist. Thanks for your effort.

Looks great. Bizarre to me Steinhart have made these 39mm versions so limited. They did 100 (50 old rad & 50 std lume) now these small batches.

The 1655 homage is one of Steinhart's best ,I have the butik edition from Aachen ,without cyclops and with C3 lume , great value for money ;)

Subbed. Noteworthy is that the movement is the ETA 2893 'elabore' -- a thinner higher spec movement than the workhorse 2824. Apparently, steinhart/OLKO has a connection to ETA b/c supposedly they do not sell to 3rd party manufacturers. Suggest you add a lume shot, esp comparing your other Olko to the new one. Also, if you say the price paid, that really helps potential buyers like me.

Hi Joshua great video! The original Rolex Steve McQueen wore of this watch, was 38.5mm, and it had the date magnifier as well. This is the closest I think to the original, looks fantastic!!! I'm trying to get one now, Olka is sold out so I just messages Gunter to see if he will be sending her more, I love vintage looking watches as well!!! Both your watches are very nice!!! I saw this one as the "boutique"-edition at the Steinhart-"store" in Aachen, Germany and it works so much better in 39mm. Luckily I'm not a huge fan of this particular design, so I wasn't tempted to buy it... :D I now have four 39mm O1s (sold the two 42mm ones I had before) and the smaller size looks way better on my 17cm/6.75 in wrist. I think one factor are those straight lugs of the Ocean Ones which are way less of an issue in 39 ... I can *just* pull off the 42 but it's getting close to sticking out past my wrist. The 39 just looks better and is more in keeping with the vintage theme, IMO.

I have the Ocean Vintage Military in 39mm and it has become my favourite watch in my collection 😁 may I ask what your wrist size is? and: I feel like the crystal is a smidge bigger (and the bezel thinner) than the ones on their other 39mm divers. would be awesome if you could confirm that for me 👍🏻

Hello Josh, I was fortunate and able to purchase one before they sold out again. Two observations, noticed the lume is applied rather thin and begins to fade quickly. Is running at +7s/d in all positions where I've read posts of the 2893-2 performing at a fraction to 2-3s/d. May I ask your experiences? Otherwise I'm very happy. Thank you for your unboxing!

Josh, if you are not travelling, do you ever set the GMT hand the same as the hour hand such that they line up? Does that look goofy or kind of cool? Thx again

Hey, I was curious on what you think a fair price for a steinhardt Ocean 39 OLKO in 9.5/10 would be? I have my eye on one, but I want to make sure I’m not drastically overpaying.

I tried it with an engineer and straight lugs. Looks OK, but the length of the lugs leaves a bit of a gap to the bracelet (strapcode super engineer II). Did you get a chance to try it on the Jubilee?
