It is becoming tiring on how uniformed all this KZfaqrs making videos are and we have to tell them again and again that no one is boycotting the game and the guys fighting censorship aren't ether but boycotting Sony and their PSN.

Indeed, as it is Sony that strong armed them into making the changes. The game was uncensored on the disc (final build as creator intended) and changes were made after the fact in a patch due to activists both in and out of Sony complaining to Sony about it. Sony is the publisher so its likely they gave the creators of stellar blade little choice in the matter. The alternative would be that they would not let the game on the platform. I see no reason to boycott the actual game, its still better then 90% of rest of the other woke trash out there and a step in the right direction, even despite of the censoring on a few costumes and a wall. Its Sony that people are and should be boycotting not stellar blade...I know I personally won't be purchasing another Sony product. They are very anti-consumer in general. For people so concerned about the acquisition of blizzard by Microsoft regarding a monopoly, I find it interesting that they then think it is smart to piss off their customers 😡

They also are trying to force the patch on people as well. I tested it out as well. If you do not conntect to the internet before installing the game it will play just fine. However the moment you connect to the internet the game will not let you play it until you patch it. They are determined to their Force Cenosrship on people.

How does that make sense? What is point of downloading the 1.02 patch and doing anything if you are gonna delete the game? Won't all the data disappear?

@@SIPEROTH I guess it doesn't, but the only other thing that the 1.02 patch does (besides the censorship) is a few fixes like button frequency during combat.

They're not even trying to be movies these days. It seems that everything nowadays is too busy trying to make a statement on how society should be. Meanwhile, their games are riddled with bugs, and eventually you'll be unable to play because you forgot your password for their little extra launcher (AKA passive-aggressive DRM), and then you'll contact customer service only to have a bot tell you that the solution is to buy it again. (looking at you, Rockstar Games)

Unless you want the extra costumes, ng+ isn't really worth touching. I'm also someone who's not into ng+ (aside from Resident Evil & maybe some other action games) to the point where I didn't even touch God of War 2018 or the Spiderman games.

​@diandre2530 That statement was just an attempt to clear the controversy. If you play a pre-patched version with the physical disk no outfits are censored. The the order came down after the game went gold. The game was finished and approved by the ratings boards, so there would be no reason for Shift-up to alter anything. There are literally images still in the game of the original uncensored outfits. Also, the quick paint job they did to add "fabric" should be a dead giveaway that this was a last minute demand from Sony.

Guys. Stop the misinformation, the boycott wasn't against the game, it was against Sony, we still bought the game.

Wasnt the Last of Us 2 badly in Terms of selling? Not only that its a terrible Game too. And the last few Pokemon Games were also Trash. The Money wasted on those Garbage Games could be used for something better. Even Fanfiction People could make better Games with the Right Money, Studio and People.

I think the theory behind the petition was to give ShiftUp some ammo to use against Sony in meetings with the hope that they'd revert the changes. It was obviously a last-minute demand from Sony, considering the demand to alter came in after the game went gold because the physical versions are uncensored.

I don't care who's in a game if the game is good. has enjoyable characters, story, and gameplay. What matters to me is this forced implementation of concepts against the creator's original vision to check boxes. Shift Up didn't play ball, so suddenly IGN and kotaku were on it like stink on sh*t about how this ga,e was going to ruin society with the 'male gaze' and literally "K*LL WOMEN" and how Eve was a weak woman who was too sexy and didn't deny the gamer controlling her. 'Have a coffee with marketing and just TERRIFY them with what will happen if they don't give you what you want.'
