The game is fun the hot chicks are a nice bonus and there's a game journalist mode if the combat gets too difficult I really don't see what's not to like about it. Neir was a blast but I agree this game is not like that other than the floating bot dude. If you're going to rip of another game do a good job and they did a pretty good job.

Felt the same the first time I played the demo. Never completed the first boss of sekiro because I am to bad. But I was hyped for stellarblade so I decided to give it a second try. And man i am in love with it now. The moment it clicked its pure pleasure. The combat animations do chain in each other, it just looks gorgeous. Just sad it does not have japanese dub.

Tried the demo and had a blast. Thought the world was fun to explore, loved the music and enemies designs, the gameplay was solid and better then I was expecting with lots of options. It was fast and smooth, challenging but not punishing. I preorder the game base off the demo. Also loved Sekiro die twice this game a mix between that and Nier. Only concern left. Is the game length and level verities. Side commit. Wish we get a sequel to heavenly sword. Love that game to this day!

I think it's the apocalyptic atmosphere that can give it the Nier feel. But yeah, it's not that much like it as far as gameplay goes.

The gameplay is far from nier automata or any of the games from hack n slash genre, this game is a Soulslike game, Eve is not fast attacking or dodging, its a Mix of Sekiro with any other soulslike game, its not a hack n slash like people are saying, still the game is good

I wouldn't say it's a clone, but it definitely uses some mechanics from Souls games. As far as controls go. But it’s nowhere as bad or as difficult as playing a, True Souls Game. The best way to describe stellar blade. Is that, it’s an entry-level to a Souls Game.

As someone who plays Vergil and beat DMD mode, this is not smooth.

I finished sekiro and didn’t replay the game as well. Was excited for stellar blade, but the gameplay is un responsive 😢graphics and jiggle physics are gold though😊

1:37 Exactly! 💯 When i olayed the demo i was like: Why is this combat feels so slow and floaty...like they're fighting in space And because of that i often press and release buttons too soon....like... I couldn't parry as good as i do in other games cause my timing is too soon

these game for me felt like a blend of Lies of P (kinda janky souls like but deff responsive) and a bit slow paced as Sekiro which feels like a turn based style action game where you want to wait for the perfect parry before going in. I deff enjoyed the game and already preordered.

Funny thing about politics and games with an all female cast...that's what they want on either extreme of the spectrum. Just for very different reasons. As for the game itself...it feels like someone threw a bunch of elements from other games together haphazardly, without understanding what made any of them satisfying in the games they came from. Sekiro style parrying against enemies that don't fight with swords/other melee weapons, flashy and stylish character design with slow and deliberate combat, near Bayonetta level sexualization without the character personality and self-awareness that made it fun, etc. It's just a flashy graphical showcase that feels weirdly unsatisfying to play.

I really didn’t enjoy the demo, given I’ve played Sekiro. The parry system just doesn’t feel good, posture break executions are slow asf, playing a mini cutscene every time you press triangle . Idek why the main character (can’t even be bothered to remember her name) kept screaming like HYAAA HYAAAAAA 💀. Also game is ugly as shit, all the resources went into the mc’s model, she sticks out like a sore thumb. 70$ for the full game btw

I've heard different opinions on the gameplay. Some people liked the gameplay, and others have not. I gave it a go, and my God, the gameplay was so clunky! I understand that the dodge, parry, and attacks can be upgraded, but that's no excuse to make the base gameplay so unresponsive. It just felt off. The director has said setting your tv to game mode will improve performance, but I can't remember the last time I did that for any game. Just a poor excuse to make up for gameplay that was so sluggish. All I've heard from fans of this game leading up to the demo, has been (sickly sweet) talk about the main character's appearance, and hardly anything on the gameplay, and story. I guess as a teenager i would have cared about this sort of thing, but the people talking about only her looks look either to be my age or older. They sounded so sexually frustrated. Maybe if more time was spent on discussing gameplay, the director would have had more time to refine it. But to the fans, the game being considered 'anti-woke' seems to be the USP of the game. The main character looks like a wax statue from Madame Tussauds, and this is supposed to stick it to 'woke' developers? I get people like challenging games, and souls-like games but there are so many games that take their main inspiration from only Souls. This, Lies of P (good game), Black Myth Wukog, and others are following a similar formula, and it's getting stale now. I thought these newer developers would be more dynamic. Why not take their main inspiration from Heavenly Sword, MG Revengeance, Bayonetta, Ninja Gaiden, Genji, and others. I hope Phantom Blade Zero is different, and hopefully Lost Souls Aside is still going ahead with its style, and will release in the near future.

Soulslikes arent fun to me i literally just returned rise of the ronin i went into the game expecting it to feel like its own game cause i steady was watching gameplay of it but nope the more i fought enemies it felt too much like a fromsoftware game, not saying its a bad game but the souls combat is boring to me and is designed to piss u off folks will always defend it tho 🤷🏾‍♂️

Oni(2001 game) and Jade Empire, brings this game to shame. Yes, not hack and slash games but the substance though. Never liked those type of games limiting you to what the dev wants. Can't dodge when you want, or fight battles the way you want, force enemies to go somewhere or do something to them. Seems modern games like to limit you. No player agency.
