I think deep down we all know that the next step for this mod is into the territory of Hyperengineering. You know, the deliberate movement of stars & black holes, creating your own constellations, utilising the black holes in the centre of the galaxy to create resources, complete & utter domination of the galaxy and all that resides there. And then when you're done with that, moving onto the next galaxy/universe where YOU get to play the role of the Prethoryn Scourge/Unbidden. Or you can be a benevolent ruler, your choice.

Stop!! "Job Base Production" means that this is the base production of ALL the jobs, that are provided by the building/district. The gas giant laboratory district gives 3 researcher jobs à 4 research = 12 job base production ... It doesn't produce 12 research per job Same goes for the Planetary Computer , not 20 research per job (it's still awesome, as 5 jobs per district is a really god ratio)

@4:20 With the "Ringworld Upgrade!" which is included in gigastructure mod you can get two full habitable areas per ring section. That's 56 habitable areas with 50 districts each.

I think it would be cool for a campaign in which the backstory is a human colony found itself in a ringworld (or mega ringworld or giga ringworld) and slowly began colonizing them. I also think a cool campaign would be starting in a multi-star system with numerous inhabitable planets, like the Twelve Colonies of Kobol.

Well these structures make sense in the kardishev scale 1 = civilization uses the total energy output of there home planet 2= civilization uses the power output of a star 3= civilization use energy output of whole galaxy

In the Ring Section "How would light even get there", realisticly, the rings would have their orbits angles diffreantly as to have only a few spots where the light gets blocked by the previous rings. It is basically like making a dyson sphere, then cutting off rings of it and making them just spin around the star while collecting the energy (If that makes sense or explains anything)

The gargantuan ring world is probably my favorite of them all cause i can play super tall since i have a mod that lets me build helium-3 buildings so i can get a stupid amount of resources early on without actually cheating and using console commands, so in all aside from earth i can have up to 30 planets worth of pops in only 2 systems, shits fucking crazy

if you had that kind of ringworld with like 2 rings, then each ring would just have to rotate around the star and be on a different angled axis around the star, then it would get lots of sunlight.

OK this hypothetical but a unstoppable fleet that has destroyed all of the systems and comes to this one system and finds 2 battle moons 1 battle planet a dyson laser and all planet have rings and the gas giant is colonized fleet warps in "let's destroy this system" "um sir look out the viewing port" "oh my (insert deity) " all the lasers charge and fire fleet wiped out and planets behind that fleet are disintegrated

all these Giga buildings will make the borg go OMFG.

Usually you would simply tilt the axis of each ring by a couple of degrees so that every ring gets enough sunlight. But I think you can't do that in Stellaris due to the way solar systems a programmed.

In the name of the Omnissiah, this mod is making me harder than Terminator armor.

I think the Martian's from invader Zim had the best philosophy in regards to strapping thrusters onto their own planet,and in this case moon and lasers...."Because it was Cool."

This mod also adds events I think. I had an empire of determined exterminator robots sort of just pop into existence across the galaxy, and they were more advanced than me in tech and fleet, when everyone else except FEs was inferior or pathetic to me in turn. They also spawned with fully built ringworlds, and a Kugel-blitz silo too! I'm not 100% sure this mod caused it, but since they have a Kugel blitz silo, I'm pretty confident it was this mod.
