The doomsday origin should have events where you try to save all of the other living things from your homeworld. Basically like building an ark to carry plant species, animals, bugs, fish, and all kinds of other creatures. Because what we have now is just your people escaping and leaving everything else to get annihilated when the planet goes boom.

I was really looking forward to this series more than any other and I am enjoying it. Oh and if you ever come into conflict with the despoilers then you should vassalise them as you share the same lathrixian heritage.

Seriously, Lathrix, I'd love watching these in a longer format, too, more video output per hour of your effort. But I do watch these multiple times in the end, both doing my part to help the channel and because I do enjoy them.

My favorite playthrough when the new start system came out became doing a doomsday planet with no guaranteed planet, and only .25 times habitable planets. I've never failed to get all my pops off, but it's always so tense, and such a mad dash to expand to the first habitable planet you find, even if it's not necessarily good. It makes it quite the fun challenge, and it feels like you are truly having to adapt and survive.

Hey lathrix, would you ever do an updated all empire brawl. About a year ago you did a video with a bunch of empires to see who would win. Would you consider doing one of those again with your newer empires.

Doomsday AI always seems to never settle and just die in my experience. As much as people likely asked for all three of the empires you made to be put in the game, it probably ended up making the game inadvertently a little easier. Feels like the AI fails the start about 80% of the time.

Also, an extremely enjoyable run so far. You're managing to just about break even with the worst of starts, thanks to a combination of luck and skill. But seeing you face what's coming will still be quite dramatic.

Hey Lathrix, I've had two archaeology sites on the same inhabited world before and it's fine. (One is always the angels for some reason.) After you finish the first site, you can just tell your scientist to do the other. Though given that combination, I would've went with the angels first, so you'd have the armies in case the other goes sour.

I think it might make sense to stockpile your unity until you are no longer over the admin cap. You'll go without the benefits for a while, but you'll ultimately leap frog ahead by a few traditions, as you were being hit with +50% tradition costs, probably up to 100% more at some points. Love these videos btw.

1:06:00 some of the text on a few of those has a scroll bar, so we can't read all of it. Still, thank you. This is a pretty good empire. Also, if i'm not mistaken, you do get a 1 year warning before the planet explodes, so you could still move the pops near the very last moment if you want.

Imagine finding a habitable world not guarded by a a giant space creature.

I get around the vassals not expanding problem by taking the systems myself and giving them to my vassals in a trade deal. Helps keep admin under control and a good way to offload all the small planets I can't be bothered to manage.

You need to put your new worlds scientist in research so you get the better chance of terraforming. Looking forward to how this turns out!!

Oh crap: Winged Statues...I had a garrison of 3K of ground troops and those fucking Sentinels made it War of the Worlds. Oh my agony, a military fortress world falls and half of my early game gone in a siege of fire. That was one play-through that I dubbed, 'Cadia Gate.' It wasn't a good time devastating the second world to my capital in terms of population, resources and I literally cried because I had to rebuild it.
