Autologous stem cell or umbilical cord stem cell for joints can be helpful when injected intraarticular. You are the first practitioner out of hundreds of youtube videos I’ve watched who got it right as to PRP vs stem cell. PRP is the overall work horse for any part of the body in regenerative medicine but when it comes to ligament and tendon regeneration of joints, not intraarticular (the joint space) stem cell is useless and requires disposal by the body. Think 1. Blood flow/supply, 2. Most importantly, what holds the joint in place, only ligaments and tendons touch bone. Injecting into the joint space alone will never regenerate the joint, it will give only passing relief. So the work being done by nearly ALL of those injecting into the joint space is NOT regenerative medicine. When it comes to organs, glands and other parts of the body, including bone, there is plenty of blood supply, so stem cell can benefit - the issue with stem cell for regeneration of tissues OTHER THAN joints is the methods of administration thus far are lacking in effectiveness (other than for blood illnesses in which stem cell can be administered by IV into veins. Better for this imo is certain types of medical ozone administration). Cheers 🥂

Thank you Todd, yes I've seen significant success with stem cells and PRP combined for tendon, ligament, and joint issues. It's kind of like that saying in real estate, "location, location, location". Trying to get the regenerative material as close to the pathology as possible. You'd probably be interested in some research from the Center for Stem Cell & Arthritis Research in where they observe cartilage growth via MRI after a stem cell implant. The title is called "Assessment of clinic and MRI outcomes after mesenchymal stem cell implantation in patients with knee osteoarthritis: a prospective study". You should be able to find a free PDF online.

@@traviswhitney8482 I’m in regenerative joint medicine. I respect you enough after listening to you to help you out here. Yes, we know all about cartilage studies of course. So what? So cartilage gets repaired? How does that help with strength and function? This is a 3rd grade explanation and not condescending to you but we must take people where we find them if they are at least attempting to be honest about the how the body regenerates. It’s not getting close to the location that matters, close is meaningless. It must be directly pointing the body to the tissues that must regenerate - these tissues are (I’ll say it again) tendons and ligaments. OA is from cartilage damage but due to ligament and tendon degeneration/damage. It is a symptom of a problem you cannot possibly address by “getting close” to where the damage is located. Cartilage has nothing to do with keeping the joint from collapsing on itself so that the cartilage does not become damaged. Good luck with processing this information. You and medicine in general have it wrong and once we learn the wrong way, it’s not ego necessarily that interferes with the truth. It’s the twists our minds had to make to learn the lies. Lies don’t make sense to a 3rd grader. If you can get a 3rd grader to understand the truth about how the body works, you likely have properly wrapped your mind around a big chunk of medical/scientific truth about how the body really works. Truth is what the world will turn towards when we finally give up the lies we’ve been taught. This is when real healing and coalescing of our innate ability to heal ALL suffering and illness and tragedy will begin. ~Todd

@@ToddDouglasFox Thanks for the comments. That's great, sorry I didn't know you were in regen joint medicine. Where do you practice? I agree, the tendons and ligaments play a huge roll in MSK strength and function. Cartilage plays a huge role in a joint's function. To keep up with your 3rd grade analogy "analogy", it's a lot easier to rub two very smooth surfaces together (a cartilage rich joint) than two rough surfaces (a bone on bone joint). So when someone is utilizing that joint their function is compromised when the cartilage is degraded. I treat as comprehensively as possible. So not only treating, for example, a knee IA but also treating the surrounding ligaments and tendons. Keep fighting the good fight!

@@traviswhitney8482 the joint “rubbing” where it should not is never going to change without treating the cause. Orthopedic medicine emphasizes IA and cartilage and OA. We don’t go to the auto shop with a flat tire due to a rim problem to just fill up air in the tire. Yes, you are giving a tip of your hat to treating more than just IA however your understanding and teaching MUST be on treating the cause as you know as a ND. Start the good fight Travis. Change your focus, change you mind, learn.

Is it possible to face cancer after stem cells therapy? I saw some articles about cancer risks after this therapy
@traviswhitney8482

Incidence of developing cancer FROM umbilical cord tissue stem cells is extremely rare, I don't even know if there's a documented case. If a patient has an active cancer there is a higher risk.

Getting it for multiple myekoma at Mayo in Rochester MN, they did 500 last year. Concerns?
@traviswhitney8482
@traviswhitney8482 2 жыл бұрын
You’re likely referring to an autologous stem cell transplant. There are some stem cell transplants for certain cancers. However it should always be addressed with your doctor about negative side effects. There should be little concerns with having it done at Mayo.

@@traviswhitney8482 Yes it’s very frustrating and disturbing when doing research for a stem cell transplant and all of these cheesy videos with people wearing beads and talking about a procedure that many people are having because they think it makes them younger, or feel younger and helps their knees or other joints from hurting, when people with blood cancers are having to do a SCT to be able to live and as a last resort or last line of treatment. I just wish there was some sort of way to distinguish the difference of a SCT for people trying to find the fountain of youth or vain enough to throw mass amounts of out of pocket money away on something that may or may not make them feel young again compared to legitimate SCT videos based on approved SCT treatment for people dying of blood cancer.

@@tammyslaughter9587 Yes it can be very confusing. Not sure where your frustration has anything to do with my Mala beads or you thinking the video is "cheesy" lol. You're talking about 2 different treatments though. Procedures done for joints, autoimmune, blood cancers or even preventative medicine are all legitimate procedures. It's not a competition of who is suffering the worst. Blood cancers are very serious conditions, of course. We don't treat those conditions but there are others out there that can. If you're frustrated because you're not finding the video you want maybe look for another video instead of leaving a negative comment. Or call our clinic, we answer questions on the phone everyday without charging people a dime.

@@InnateHealthcareInstitute It’s very frustrating because as someone who has stage 4 blood cancer looking for legitimate information on stem cell or bone marrow transplants, NOT “stem cell therapies” which I’m fully aware they are two totally different procedures. The FDA has the authority to regulate stem cell products in the U.S. and physicians routinely use stem cells that come from bone marrow or blood in transplant procedures to treat patients with cancer and disorders of the blood and immune system. Investigational products must also go through a thorough FDA review process as investigators prepare to determine the safety and effectiveness of products in well-controlled human studies, called clinical trials, yet unfortunately the KZfaq algorithm doesn’t recognize the difference between these very unprofessional clinics responding to a comment in a very unprofessional manner, as opposed to a Hematologist/Oncologist speaking professionally from a renown cancer center such as Mayo, or Sloan-Kettering etc. giving information about an FDA approved lifesaving procedure. Your little comment of “it’s not a competition of who is suffering the worst” is an example of how unprofessional the clinic you represent appears to be because I’ve had joint and autoimmune issues, and now advanced blood cancer and you’re right, there is absolutely no comparison between them that is a ridiculous statement, a stem cell transplant is usually a matter of life and death and sometimes last resort treatments. You shouldn’t charge people a dime for a phone call since there is not FDA approval for regenerative medicine therapies therefore no insurance approval so people will have to spend hundreds of dollars out-of-pocket for something that may or may not work.

@@tammyslaughter9587 just read your comment. Firstly I hope you are still with us and doing well. Yes, blood cancers are tough to treat, treat with any success, and the patient will pay out of pocket to treat. If it were me, I would seek out umbilical CORD stem cell, no other. I am not referring to getting product from cord banks, they are a sham. The source needs to be from research centers connected to reputable hospitals. I would need to do a deep search as to who is doing what these days. My search, as always, would be global. I haven’t done a search in many years, it’s likely there is more available than when I last searched. You displayed a lot of vigor. I hope you found what you were seeking.
