It almost brings me to tears to imagine the proven potential of adult pluripotent stem cell research, when I think about all the people it could save. Because then I think of how the multi-billion dollar medical drug industry might try to suppress or hide the results, since the successful application of this technology will put them out of business. No more insulin, no more Alzheimer drug therapies, no more MS drugs, no more anti-rejection drugs... I pray that they show some ethics and morals.

I am totally agreed, this is about saving lives not Religion and hope someday everybody can afford it.

The facts stated @ 11:25 - 13:50 totally blows holes in the process of using pure host marrow for prolotherapy, i.e.; injecting marrow directly into joints. No wonder so many gain nothing from it. It makes perfect sense for stem cells to have specific coding for regeneration

I am Peter Harrison a 63 year old white male who has to do dialysis 3 days weekly, and very interested if the University of Washington/Seattle Medical Center in the Kidney Clinic is aware of this new research being done at the UC Davis in Sacramento?

When it comes to osteoporosis, I favor the concept that a major factor is homeostasis of the body system. The body leaches Calcium to use in other purposes. This can certainly benefit from rigorous control of fluid intake. For example, many drinks are known to dehydrate: soda, tea, coffee, sports drinks, and others. This water discharge takes with it all types of soluble minerals, including calcium, magnesium, and etc.

When you eat meat or dairy it produces sulfuric acid and to neutralize it your body uses your bone’s calcium.

Wow the regenerative nature of the stem cells is remarkable. Imagine that cells regenerating can that mean we might be on to a science where you Don't AGe.

Please help! Our daughter is going through this situation right now! Can you please help me to know if we made the right decision? The freeze dried pig bladder powder vs further amputation. My daughter 27 yrs old on Sat Nov 14th 2015 had the tip of her left hand index finger severed. She does have a tiny bit of the cuticle left which is giving us hope that the nail can be regrown as well. It appears that the freeze dried pig bladder powder has helped others, so we decided to give it a try … anything over further amputation! Dr. Eugenio Rodriguez agreed to treat our daughter with the freeze dried pig bladder powder. She has had two treatments already and is still experiencing a lot of pain. It all seems so unbelievable; I worry that we aren’t thinking clearly because we are still in shock that it even happened. We are desperate for her to be normal again. Is there anything you can say to let us know we made the right decision? Can you or ANYONE ELSE reading this post suggest anything that we should be doing to insure the best outcome? Can you suggest any vitamins or nutritional advice that would help her body out with trying to regrow her fingertip?

Please, some help! My dorsal nerve of the clitoris was broken. I do not have any sensitivity. Is there research to nerve regeneration for this kind of rupture? Any contact that you could give me about? Thank you.

From my experience with my husband's brachial plexus injury, several neurosurgeons told us the same information: as long as the cell body is intact, nerves can regenerate at a rate of 1 mm/day in small nerves and 5 mm/day in large nerves. And they did! It took patience but it happened. I hope you have a similar experience.

Solution to personal problem, mind of expansion and the reinforcement, training of the physical weak point, the regenerative medicine from bone marrow transplantation, meets all issues. Do it from now on. 人格的問題の解決、拡大と増強の精神、肉体的弱点の強化、骨髄移植から再生医療は全てに適う。これからするんだ。

The possibility that can solve all the past trauma and the low height and the caries, meet mind that extended strength reinforcement, therefore it is regenerative medicine with the self-administration from bone marrow transplantation. 過去のトラウマも低身長も虫歯も全てを解決出来る可能性、拡大増強精神に適う、だから骨髄移植から自己投与による再生医療だ。

I wish people would stop blaming religious people for medical research and rights for not moving forward. As a Christian, I am for stem cell research, yes the embryonic stem cell research method does pose conflict for many including myself being on the fence about it. However, the church or religion in general have a small fraction of influence on issues such as this. If we really open our minds and eyes you'll see that real hold up is and boils down to money being made by pharmaceutical companies, investors, dirty politics, and greed. The FDA for example is a joke! They approve all types of food and other products that are killing people and in turn pharmaceutical and health insurance companies make money off people getting sick and dying. Do you think they want to invest in something that could potentially cure the diseases that they make money off of or can heal people world wide? NO! Religious extremists are a distraction of who really needs to be the focus. With that being said please stop blaming local churches, temples, community groups etc if anything educate them because most people don't even know what stem cell research is. All they hear being pushed is unborn babies being used not knowing there are alternative research methods they can support and what the potential benefits are if the embryo method is used.

Ljbroadous This is well stated. I agree. A system solution, one which activates the bodies own system, will be easy to duplicate. A process which requires expensive equipment and highly trained staff will produce much more profit and will raise the cost of entry into the business field. Christians are against using fetal stem cells collected from abortions. This is not opposition to most of the processes I've been watching over the last few weeks.

dude i am a muslim and we also have conflicting views on stem cell research we dont think theres a concept of life until after 40 days of conception ( personally i believe it starts at life.) but we have to also realize that it puts a strain on the women that are likely to participate in these events. groups against these stem cell research are also women’s rights group cause apparently there has been alot of manipulation of companies to women of low socio economic status and not really getting paid and letting them know what really happens when they lose their eggs or embryonic stem cells.

what about if you don't believe in God ( I do ) didn't God give the doctors the knowledge ot the brain to gain the knowledge. Med. progress is knowledge from God. Religion needs to stay in the church and let medicine move forward,
