Planting our lovely grass in the sunshine was so much fun! With lots of “Kitty Help” we all know this is a thing!

Thanks for the video! Just got the kit and going to grow cat grass for my two kitties! We just adopted a new one hehe 🥰❤💗😻😻and for those also trying it for the first time, I believe it's best the seeds are kept moist (like with a spray bottle but not too much water so they don't rot) and kept in a slightly warmer environment so the seeds germinate and sprout 🌱 good luck!🍀💫☺

I originally bought this kit because my cat tried to eat any houseplant he could get to! I finally got rid of them because i was afraid he would get poisoned, and got a couple artificial plants. He tried to eat them too!! Just by sheer luck i saw a video clip one day about what to do if your cat did this, and they recommended growing cat grass. I had never heard of such a thing! I immediately ordered this kit and grew my boy his very own patch of grass! Worked like a charm! Problem solved!! Thank you Catit......but it would be very helpful if they included instructions that were actually easy to read and understand.

I came here for exact instructions and you literally did everything wrong from adding the media first to mixing. Glad it still worked I was worried I messed it up, adorable cat too!

Aw crap, yeah after going on the Catit site they instruct to soak the seeds overnight. Man I wish they would just add detailed instructions but literally all I had to go by is 6 text-less pictures on the side of the box. Thank you for pointing out that there is something wrong with the instructions. Oh well, hopefully it will still work for me too.

@@FlaviusFlav no worries. I’ve done it 4-5 times now and each time it comes out better. Soak the seeds for a solid 24-30 hours, don’t use chlorinated water (tap) filtered or bottled only. Use 2-3 wet paper towels and a dish to let the seeds start to germinate, keep them soaked. Once they look good add them to the top of your media and use some tape to tape down the lid (the grass can grow and push the lid off... you will never get the lid back on if this happens. Keep it in a warm sunlight area and before you know it you will have a forest.

Hello, thank you for your comment. If you are referring to soaking the seeds first method as mentioned on the cat it website, yes you you can also plant it this way. Please may we just advise that we have provided this video to cat it and they were happy with the content. So whichever way you wish you plant it you will still have the same result and the grass will grow. Thank you ☺️

That’s great! We water every couple of days just depends on how much you have planted. We tend to plant a little a time as Lilly doesn’t manage to eat a hole pack at once😄

Does the grass need sun to grow? And how long they will last after they grow?

Ria Kumalasari Damayanti doesn’t need direct sunlight but it will do better by a window. And the shoots begin to grow about 3-4 days after planting

I bought the same thing, did not follow its instruction, but simply put the two bags in the plate (I just put all seeds on top of all soil), added water, and covered with the grid. It works. It grows very well.

What I’m going to be doing is placing the 2 top pieces in a planter. It will basically be enclosed in the planter and slightly higher up for my 2 cats. They won’t be able to slide it or knock it over. I hope your cat continued to enjoy it. If you still have the box, it can be used to cut holes, as per the printed pattern, to place treats in, for playing.

Should I put my 2.0 planter inside I’ve had it on the porch and it’s been raining I don’t see any sprouts yet it’s been four days

@@debrashine1178 I don’t really know. I’m not an expert. I just wanted to put one of mine inside a ceramic planter. I did grow cat grass, using organic soil, in that planter once before. As I’m an apartment dweller, everything is indoors so, I don’t know if you’d need to do anything different for outdoors.

I’ve just bought one of these and did it the same way as you except I put all the stuff in lol. I was unsure of how much water to put in so went on the Internet to see if I could find out. Actually found the cat it website and they do it a totally different way 🙄🙄😬

Do not worry, there are many different ways to plant this but the grass will still grow beautifully☺️ hope your kitty/cats enjoy it! You can use up as much as the grass as you like. We simply didn’t use all of it because Lilly won’t be able to eat it all so we prefer to split it out ☺️

How long did it take to grow just planted mine with your method! Does it need direct sun light ?

Hello, we didn’t put ours in direct sunlight but a bright or sunny spot will be fine ☺️ for us it took a around 4 days to start showing. I believe for the grass to be fully grown takes about 10 days. Hope this helps!

We water it around once a week, if you see the gras wilt a little you maybe need to add a bit more water. The planter has a special tray to collect excess water so if you overwater slightly this shouldn’t be a problem ☺️

Hello, we added around half of a cup when we first planted the seeds. Even if you overwater the tray below captures everything so it’s nothing to worry about. Then we watered every few days or so when the soil seems dry. It’s very easy to maintain☺️

That box it Comes in is my cats favorite all time toy. You just punch out those little holes and put a couple of kitty treats inside day after day month after month. It is still my cats favorite toy. Oh I guess I should say it’s the first grass that I’ve actually been able to keep alive, too, but the box I would buy again Even though it comes for free

Really makes no sense that they don’t add instructions on this product. The point of a kit is ease of use. You Might as well just buy your own seeds and soil, if the company isn’t going to tell you what to do with their product.

After trying this way I can safely say this method WORKS, and you don’t need to go through all the unnecessary steps seen in other videos…
