The steamer does not come with any plates.

This tefal steamer is big, i like it but the water container base is made of plastic, the boiling water in the plastic base will become steam and eventually went into our food, would it be safe to our health? I need your advice

I'm just going to share my personal experience. If the paper falls off the buns before steaming, place it beneath the bun on the plate. Otherwise, the bun may become stuck to the plate after steaming.

When there's not enough water in the tank, the device no longer heats. Fill it again up to the maximum height mark and the device will automatically restart the cooking programme.

May i know...what is the maximum diameter plate that can fit into the steamer as mine are mostly 22 to 23 diameter...will really appreciate for the answer

The diameter of the largest plate I am using is 21.5 cm. It will be difficult to take out the plate if the diameter is larger than 21.5 cm.

Do you find that water accumulates on the plate and soaks the buns somewhat, as opposed to steaming them directly on the steamer basket?

No. I usually take out the buns immediately.

May I ask if the colour of the water tank base is the same as the tray handles? I received mine yesterday but I find my water tank is yellowish white, and the handles are bright white. Therefore would like to know yours:) Tq

But why did you put your buns on the plate? Arent we supposed to put steam buns direct in this steamer? When I set 15 min, water boil a few min but after 15min timer didnt even move....

Thanks for the vid. May I know How do you take out the plates from the steamer after steaming? I see is quite small when you put in the plate before steaming starts. Wondering if those tongs to pick up steam plates could work with this steamer.

There is a foldable steamer rack available in the market for buns (tim sum). If steaming 2 dishes (one of which is buns) it's better to put the buns on top else the buns will get wet from water dripping onto the second layer!

Hi, can you remove the middle divider so you have a taller steamer? So you can fit a Chinese double boil jar? Thanks

It's 2 separate trays as shown in the video.

After doing some research, I found out that this stainless steel model is different from the plastic model. Unlike the plastic model, the parts are all fixed for this model.

I do all cooking on glass-ceramic CorningWare plates and bowls. It is important to use cookware with high tolerance for thermal shock and can be used under direct heat.

Please do not turn off the switch from the wall like that...I think we need to turn off the machine first and unplugged the machine before switching the switch off... The unstable current of sudden ON and OFF from the wall will spoil the machine...maybe Auntie stick to cooking better than playing with electrical things 🤣 maybe an electrician can weigh in? I am not an electrician but a friend told us about this 🤓
