Welcome to a new step by step how to video from Proyectos Los Carnales! Today we are installing a cam on a 2008 Silverado which has a single bolt cam. We go over the new items you need for a cam swap as well as the adapters you need to change your single bolt cam to a 3 bolt cam shaft. Like mentioned in the video all these steps are the same for 99-06 except for the adapter items since these years already have a 3 bolt cam. These steps cover the years 1999-2013 since those are the LS engines and are all similar in the trucks and suv’s. There is a small slide show where we show you the difference of the DOD and VVT items some of these vehicles have and how to look out for them that way you are aware of what type of cam to order or even do a delete kit for them. We used a full Texas Speed cam set up with tick performance spring kit for this truck.

Amazing video bro. My 04 Avalanche just started tapping on the top end driver side so I’m already planning a cam swap and mild refresh. I have some mechanical experience but none with swapping a cam. Video was super easy to follow and gives me confidence to tackle this. Appreciate you dawg 🙏🏾

Good video, only thing you forgot to Mention/Do do was to leave the front cover bolts loose/hand tight while installing harmonic balancer to align the front cover seal with the balancer. Forget this step you might be looking at a front crank seal leak very soon. Easy to do, no reason not to do it!

that back bold is super easy the only hack i did was one simple .... body lift lol i have a 2 inch body lift everything is way easy headers intake man covers more space at the firwall even when i did trans rebuild the top bolds were supper easy to get to

Good job! Is there any way to tell ahead of time if your truck has a single or 3 bolt cam so I can have everything ready to go when I take it apart? I have a NBS 2004 single cab short bed 5.3 2wd and am really liking the BTR Truck Norris cam kit because you don't have to run a higher stall torque converter and I can add headers later as I go along.

I have a 4.8 LS silverado 1500 2012 My lifters and cam took a shit. Im replacing everything, from camshaft to lifters to new oil pump high volume. I bought the regular Standard GM camshaft. Will I still be able to notice some more horsepower? Not that I'm racing my truck or anything. Just want to know if I will feel a difference.

Nice Vid. I gott a 07 Yukon Denali XL and Nice to know it doesnt matter if I have single Bolt Cam or 3 Bolt Cam cause it will come with the new Bracket anyways. My lifter #7 roller broke in the motor, and tryna decide if I should just replace the 1 lifter or buy another motor. I have 250k on the Denali.

@@proyectosloscarnales4512 i made a KZfaq video on how to take out a stuck lifter if you watchb it i zoom up inside the lifter hole and it is all messed up in that hole. Would have to go to a machine shop, but f it why when I can just get another 6.2 and keep it moving
