Grid Ceiling is a popular and integral part of the interiors. It is an openable ceiling that provides aesthetics, sound absorption and ease in maintenance used in offices, hospitals, corridors and at many other places. To fix the Grid ceiling, the toolkit comprises of Gyproc specified professional tools for proper and quality installation of the ceiling. The components include Wall angle, Main Tee, 12 ft long, Cross Tee, 4ft and 2ft long, Level Clip, Rawl plug, and Soffit Cleat.
Step by Step Installation Process:
1) Mark the position of wall angle with the help of water level.
2) Mark level marking on periphery of walls with chalk lines.
3) Fix the wall angle on this line with nylon sleeves and screws at 600 mm center to center.
4) Mark the position of Rawl plug at 1200 mm center to center.
5) Use 12 mm diameter.
6) Drill a hole into Soffit.
7) Insert Rawl plug into the hole along with Soffit Cleat and tighten it with the help of a spanner.
8) Take 4 mm diameter wire rod with clip and hook it with Soffit Cleat.
9) Then hang 12ft long Main Tee along with the level clip at 1200 mm center to center.
10) Insert 4ft long Cross Tee into the Main Tee at 600 mm center to center to create a grid of 1200 mm by 600 mm.
11) Then insert 2ft long Cross Tee into the 4ft long cross tee to create two by 2ft grid.
12) Check the level of Grid and adjust with the help of Level clips. Now the Grid is ready.
13) Place 595 mm by 595 mm tiles on the Grid to avoid finger marks on tiles. Wear gloves while placing tiles inside the Grid.
