Last time, I used a shaper (we called it Schepping in Germany) was more than 45 years ago. Nowadays nobody will use a shaper in Germany, except hobbyists and very small company's. They all use machining centers. Nice to see the good work...

i'm laughing. i used to machine spur gears that the center hub alone was this size. 24 inch bore spur gears went to 180 inch diameters. 24-30 inch faces.. love machining big stuff.

- Not a serial manufacturing - only two gears at final. Anyway selling "old" machines to small factories is better way than just melt hem into a scrap.

Try to order this on the CNC, I wonder if they will be interested in you at all? Or will you break through the order queue? For a CNC machine of this size, the production queue is scheduled for months.

They've been doing this for 5 years, judging by the other videos. If the gears didn't work, their customers would have told them by now. Probably a fair bit a latitude at this size.

Kalau boleh tau dan kalau g' keberatan boleh lah saya minta rekomendasi atau saran dari bapak/mas yg bekerja di budi karya teknik ini .saya pengen tau aja ..mata pahat skrapnya buat sendiri atau beli di toko teknik ya..?? Soalnya saya lihat di video ini Enak aja gitu si mata pahatnya makan benda kerjanya , mulus dan rapi tanpa hambatan.. sometimes a hob might not have the correct profile. bastard sizes are prevalent on old equipment. the old timers would design the tooth profile in such a way that a buyer would have to return to the original supplier to get the correct part. grinding up a new hob for 1 0r 2 parts is not economically feasible- even if you can match up the tooth geometry.
