Great couple of videos about this mine with the vibrant colours and I love the rail track and pump. Keep it up otherwise Monday morning would not be the same .

In the US the flat plate is called a muck plate. The blast throws the rock and ore onto the plate and it's shoveled into the ore cart. Never seen such blue in a mine other than this series of videos.

I would speculate that the miners weren't getting enough copper from the load so they started looking for a better load, which didn't work out before the mine ran out of money.

In Cornwall they’d leave a rich lode in reserve for the hard times to tide them over - hopefully!

Do you think a possible reason that they left the lode is because the broken foot wall might have been problematic to working the solid hanging wall? The slickensiding implies that it’s been mobile in the past.
