Sport pundits / scouts / analysts have been saying for years that you should pick someone who has raw physical talent and abilities. This is another piece of evidence that goes against that. This tape showing him running plays with handoffs from teammates that then set picks at 12 years old should put him above a lot of others when it comes to drafting. Not only player taken above Curry in the 2009 draft has or will even amount to a truly great player. At best they are slightly above average players (if you look at their real plus minus). Griffin had a few good years, Harden became the foremost expert on how to generate three throws, until they changed the rules.

Notice how he still shoots like this: he shoots chest passes. He said he was frustrated and cried because he could only shoot from the chest when he was little, but when he got older, he could only shoot those and not the classic Jordan over the head release. So if you look at his shot now: it is not a typical NBA shot, it is a hybrid of a classic shot and a chest pass kids shot. His father Dell and his brother Seth got classic high release shots; Not Stephen.

To be honest going back in time and watching this, I would have never guessed that he would be this great. Very true. Many factors come in play, also stable, loving and supporting parents... Check all the boxes and you get a Curry, a Jordan, etc...

@@jakedesnaque8910 - Tony Parker. I saw him play several times when he was 12 to 14. Amazing. Just amazing... The maturity, the play vision, the overall skillset. There was no doubt in my mind : basketball greatness was ahead of him.
