I think the series will be dictated by the refs if the refs allow the Celtics to play football defense on Steph and Klay they’ll have a hard time shooting a high percentage, have a performance similar to 2016 and I can see the C’s winning. If they call it close then I can see Steph having the best finals he’s had and getting a 4th we’ll see.

It comes down to how bored the Warriors get after trouncing the Celtics in the first few games. If GSW takes their foot off the gas due to boredom, which they tend to do, they will win 4-2. If they stay focused, they win 4-0 or 4-1. Either way, Boston has 0 chance.

The only weakness I see for GS would be their turnovers. They turn the ball over way too much. But Boston can also get turnover happy so it may not matter

The Celtics had an incredibly rough road to get to the Finals. GSW meanwhile, cruised in while barely trying. Up 3-0, 3-1, and 3-0 respectively in the playoffs. Two of the losses they had, they barely even tried. The only other two losses were nuggets game 4 and grizzlies game 2. To think Boston can beat GSW 4 times when they’re going to take it seriously is a Herculean feat.

@@sethpoku1864 Height is a God-given skill. No matter how good you are, you cannot be as tall as if your opponent is taller than you. Now, I do agree that the Warriors, on the other hand, has superior defensive tactics. The harass the ball handler into making a mistake and they don't allow easy inside shots. The Warriors may find it tough to shoot over a much taller, defense-minded team but Boston may find it hard to keep the Warriors locked in as they are known to have the best off-ball offense. This is just a good series where the two teams are polar opposites.

Shanon is just a player rider. He doesn’t understand the game. Celtics were having a lot of trouble with Miami’s putrid offense but they are a better matchup when they are playing a much better overall offense. Warriors defense is much better than he gives them credit for.

I honestly was hoping for these teams to match up. Yes because of experience GSW have the advantage one thing Shannon was wrong about is Gs not having any defenders.. Wiggins is basically a better scoring iggy for them, Draymond is amazing, but these teams matchup very well, Tatum will prove he is a top 5 player but the warriors should pull it out in 7 games but it can honestly go either way

Celtics swept a play-in team, went 7 against Bucks without Middleton, and 7 against the Heat who had injuries to anyone and everyone. Celtics easily could be either home right now or in the Finals. With all those collapses this series, there isn't much to be impressed about, but that doesn't mean they don't have a chance.

The media loves changing the story line. It went from: "the nets are too skilled they will beat the celtics in 5-6" to "oh the nets were not a team they had issues I'm not impressed with the celtics" Same thing with the bucks: "They can't stop gianis regardless of Middleton being out" to "oh well they didn't have Middleton" It's honestly a joke listening to clowns like skip try to narrate these play-offs. Give the celtics the respect they deserve, they've had the hardest route to the finals and don't be surprised if they take the warriors to 7 games

I like the Celtics when they mature a little maybe Tatum hits 28 or so. For right now I really like the comeback story of the warriors from catastrophic injuries. 3 of the five starters had career ending injuries and scares. And wigs and draymond just being written off as not good enough and turning those lemons into allstar careers. It’s just a nice story all around if they finish it with a ring. Bostons story would be great if they have to lose to this team, have a rivalry and then come back later to win when Tatum matures a little. Plus I don’t like smart winning anything.

Coaching and matchups will be pivotal. I'm giving gsw a competitive edge they seem to have a little more direction and technical playstyle with cuts and motion. Boston can get stuck in iso ball and when they don't rally they start making more mistakes. Memphis proved that playing warrior ball with agaisnt the Warriors and outmuscle them is the way to go.

Our All-Defensive center has been playing through knee pain every single game since Round 1. Marcus Smart had a knee problem and a high ankle sprain and he's been playing through it all

Boston beat a disfunctional nets in round 1. barely beat giannis and an injured 2nd best player in round 2. and lastly, went down to the wire with a one man show jimmy butler and the heat. So this is interesting how they're gonna beat a team that any player can explode in any given night. I think the only time they're gonna win is if the GSW go in a slump and commit so much turnover.

@@1Scital1 You are not wrong, but that also means the Celtics are exhausted they have gone through two 7 game series and have also been accumulating injuries, meanwhile the Warriors are maybe even getting Gary Payton the only major injury in their roster, back before the finals start and they've even had a week of rest. That could make them a little rusty for game 1 but other than that they are in a considerably stronger position imo.

Celts have an amazing defense. GS has a very good defense. GS usually shows a strong scoring system. BOS goes for strecthes where they play ,offensively, worse than they are. If being in the Finals gets the young 'uns antsy/nervous, could go very bad for them.

Remember how many games that it took in each round for GS to put out Dallas and Memphis: each team with one star power(morant and luka), it can go either way in the finals against a visibly more star powered team in the Celtics (Tatum, Brown, Smart, Horford)…but in the end I’m gonna go with the experience and championship DNA

I think Celtics can defend the perimeter given how they handled KD/Kyrie. With how the mavs games went it really comes down to the paint which warriors will not dominate with the Celts. Or if it’s just a shootout each game which ultimately warriors win that. This is an exciting finals dependent on the strategy. Warriors just have way more fire power it’s up to the Celtics defense all of the way. I hope Celtics take game 1 if they do we’re in for a spectacle of a series.

Celtics have a ton of guys they can use to matchup defensively. The Warriors don't. Smart can slow Curry or Klay, Brown and Tatum are elite defenders. If Williams plays good luck scoring in the paint. Warriors should be the favorites, but the Celtics are a horrible matchup for them.

3 mistakes that almost cost the Celtics in these playoffs -careless turnovers -bad shot decisions -taking the foot off the gas with a lead and going into clock killing mode, letting teams back in. When the Celtics avoid these mistakes, they've been the best team in the playoffs. I like their size vs Golden State, i love how there defense matches up, they're system has matched up well against the Warriors. I think the Celtics will win, but they will need to not beat themselves with these mistakes to do it

Maybe I'll be surprised, but based on what players seem to be saying, Boston isn't used to defending the way Golden State's offence works and State are not a one-man offence even if it's one man who makes it work. Boston aren't going 7 in this series. They'll be fishing by then.

Both squads were completely healthy to, yeah the playoffs is a different situation, but 2 many weapons just stop 😆, the Celtics defense is elite and they have more than enough of offensive power to work the warriors.

Boston took 7 games , until the final 30 seconds of the game to beat the Heat that has only one player(Butler) who can score 25+ points per game. The Warriors has 4 players that can score 25+ points in any given night.

The defenses match up well, but I think the Warriors' experience will be the deciding factor. Also, the Celtics' decision-making down the stretch is questionable and the Warriors are capable of making them pay. I say Warriors in 6.

And Kuminga! They’ll throw him on Tatum or Brown if they need to. For some reason guys show up for Kerr Moses Moody has done a solid when asked to play. If the Celtics do what they did against the Heat they’re definitely losing. Lmao that whole team was banged up and an injured Jimmy was cooking them he was the only one scoring at times. I don’t like the Celtics in late game situations almost got folded by a depleted Heat team.

Why are people acting like Warriors did not have the easiest road to the finals by far. Beating Nuggets without their 2nd and 3rd best player. Beating a young unexperienced team which for some part missed Ja in Memphis and in the end beat in 5 a team which was 100% dependent on one player in Dallas Mavericks. Now because of this they are a healthy and well rested team compared to boston and this gives them the edge in the finals

I get the weak Boston path to finals take but you can make the same argument for golden state. Denver without their 2&3. Memphis losing Ja and Dallas without a second star. I don’t know if either team is truly a juggernaut
