In this episode of Adventures with Purpose, we travel to LeBenite Park, Missouri, in search of lost loved ones underwater and find 3 cars in the river.
🚒 Big Thanks to Jackson County Tow Service for donating their time and services today.
We're still not sure what the first car was that we found underwater. Maybe a Chevy Caviler.
The second car was an old school Fiero. When I was a kid, used to think they were Ferrari. Now that would be cool to find underwater.
At one point on the dive, I thought I found remains in the front seat while underwater, but luckily it turned out to just be a white stick.
The cop was really cool on this one, just checking out what we had going on scuba diving the Missouri River. Didn't hang out long for he had other police work to attend to.

I had to pause the video at the ad to clarify that a VPN will NOT prevent any of your accounts from getting "hacked." A VPN encrypts your traffic between your device and the VPN server, so basically it prevents eavesdropping (packet sniffing) on your local traffic. This is most useful on public or unsecured WiFi networks. I'm pretty in tune with the cybersecurity field, one of my degrees is in cybersecurity and I've never heard of SurfShark. That doesn't mean its a bad service, but it seems like there's a new VPN service launch every week. I use ExpressVPN. I have grown up in independence Missouri and I know another river you should check that really gets overlooked is the little blue river, I’m sure you will find many cars and maybe unsolved cases that nobody ever checks. Thanks for all you do you guys are very helpful to all.

I know for a fact there was a truck off the pier at the local lake , was in the newspaper. He drove over a 4' concrete wall an did a perfect drop straight in, according to the pictures

At a park and nature reserve that’s about 10 minutes down the road from me the lake used to be a quarry and it’s rumoured that there’s a digger somewhere at the bottom

I wonder about the Detroit River. I know there were cars there but always wondered how many. Now after watching AWP I wonder if there are any missing people down there in the vehicles.

Me too. I live right by Dexter Lake in Oregon and to get home, highway 58 that we travel, has water on both sides and a long time ago there were no guard rails. I totally wonder if there are vehicles in the lake.

I bought one the 900 lb pull magnets to go magnet fishing , they are relatively cheap I think it was $30 with 75 ' of heavy line, because of this channel and another Channel just because it's so random what you might find off bridges or small ponds

Jared is the man. Went down and ended up hitting two cars on the first run and a third on the hookup and neither Sam or I landed on anything. Vis was so bad though I was basically lost when I got down there. No point of reference at all. Was still a ton of fun to head out there and check it all out and help out a little bit even if it was mainly the rigging and some camera work. Ugh, after watching this I know I gotta drop some weight again. Gained a lot after my wife passed away but getting out and doing things like this make me feel connected again. Thanks for having me out Jared and Sam.

I thought you were a great addition. You just sort of blended in like you’ve been with them the whole time. Don’t beat yourself up about the weight not all people would have even survived the loss of a spouse. Remember it’s just about surviving until you finally feel like you are ready to live again. You guys should do follow up stories on the cars found under water, run the vins n let us know when they were stolen or went missing. Shoot even some have to be fraud/Insurance jobs. Would be cool for some updates on these cars, my car was stolen 20 years ago n would love to see it again if it was found under water.

"Something" that person or group of people don't want anyone else to know about 🤔 It's not that much, but you can get approximately $75-$125 if you sell your junk vehicle to a junkyard in my area, so what else would make a person forfeit 💰 and just dump a vehicle in a body of water 🤷‍♀️ Other than a punk kid with no forethought, I can’t think of another reason except for an attempt to hide "Something" 😕 Curiosity would get the best of Me, if I was part of the Crew. I would have to fight the urge to Push, despite all of the dangers that come with exposing people's darkest secrets. It takes a special kind to do This Work 💖🙏💞

Yeah, he was doing some more sonar searching during the live feed there for a while. With the sped up version it's kinda funny just watching him float around in circles. We snapped a line at one point while this was all going on too. That Fiero was HEAVY!!

Thousands of LEOs and private individuals have already searched for Susan Powell's remains. I predict she will be eventually found by hunters OR weather conditions, if ever. Jared and his crew seem to specialize in folks whose disappearances were mostly ignored by law enforcement, or where law enforcement didn't have the funding, the technology or training, especially in decades-old cold cases.

U guys totally rock. I mean the human life recovery is commendable and I'm surprised their isnt some type of funding available to assist you guys in bringing more people o board to do more in depth searches . I know it cost money to do what you do and time can be limited but sometimes I cant help but think a couple of extra days in resources would have more results. I also hope you all seek counseling if ever needed. I personally couldnt imagine seeing remains like y'all do.. When I was 16 it was a hot day in Sacramento, CA ( a few of us amongst others were jumping off the bike bridge in Fair Oaks, CA into the American River) a man jumped after I did and he did not resurface. A week later his body was found a quarter of a mile downstream. I never jumped of that bridge again to this day 30yrs later

I would love to hear the Steph D story. There aren't many reasons for that car to be there. Either it was stolen, there was a murder and the car was ditched or they couldn't afford payments and ditched it to get out of it. Those two cars are also connected somehow.

I believe both were stolen, the Fiero column was busted as was the cavalier's. Would love to know what happened but they had been in the water for quite a while whomever the owners were they are probably in their late 50's to early 60's. Got the plate sitting here ready to be mounted on the wall. Thinking I am going to clearcoat it first though.

Flood of 93. Those cars could easily have been floated out of a parking lot. We had a LOT of flood damage and with them being 92s...I suspect the 93 or even 95 flood got them.

Connection could just be women drivers. 😉 I used to work at a marina for 23 years and over that time saw 9 women drive off a boat launch into the water thinking they were going one direction but drove the opposite way and right into the water. In all honesty I've seen 5 men do it as well but far more common with women from my personal experience.

carmakers need to start having the AWP options pack, includes numerous heavy duty eyebolts and easy to reach towhooks as well as easy-pry doors

Love ❤️ your Chanel my cousin is a diver and he helped save his Old neighbour he live near the canal and she did something and drove the car into the canal you drove in smash the window and got her out so he saved her life xx she was 75 years old he got a bravery award from the firefighters xx 😘

I drove a Fiero from 2003 - 2005 & this brought back some good memories. Loved watched how curious they were about the mid-engined car.

Karen's can be elderly women too, I went to the store the other day, didn't have a bag, after I paid just sitting for my ride an elderly Karen came by, told the store clerk "that lady didn't pay for her things." Get yelled at by store employee, then Karen sat in her car until I left, she was afraid of me? just waiting for my ride! Why do people automatically think you're doing something illegal?

My dad was a Geordie. Used to visit the relatives in South Shields and my cousin and I would catch the bus to Sunderland and go to a swimming pool centre and also an ice rink. Is that still there ??

For sure, they came back the next day and pulled a pickup out of the water as well. Took them nearly as long to get it on the trailer as it did to pull out of the water. The cars were a little easier to load but not much.
