I like Noodler's Navajo Turquoise, Akkerman's #11 Treves Turquoise, Pelikan 4001 Turquoise, and Pilot Iroshizuku Ama-iro for turquoise inks

Parker Quick Ink had turquoise ink that I used in high school in the 70s

My favorite is De Atramentis Document Turquoise, since I pretty much stick to waterproof inks over which I can watercolor.

Sheaffer Skrip Turquoise is particularly pretty, affordable and very hassle-free all round.

The Havasu Turquoise reminded me most closely of the stone itself, and is my fave, but they are all lovely. Looking forward to greens, my favorite ink color! 💚

We need an episode devoted to the differences between Cyan, Aqua (there isn't any in theory, I think), Turquoise, Teal, and Petrol. And "Pacific Blue" and whatever other more or less informal names there are out there for various spectra of color between blue and green along different levels of darkness or lightness or intrusions from other colors.

Just like the stone it's named after, the turquoise color has many shades. I think my favorite is Pennonia Kékfény (Blue Light).

I've been using Pelikan 4001 Turkis on and off since the '50s, maybe I should try something "new". Mara Christian is correct, there are many different Turquoise stone colors.

Turquoise, the stone, is different depending on the mine it comes from. Turquoise from the Roysdon mine in Nevada is much more green than turquoise mined in Arizona, which is more blue. Turquoise from Arizona is darker and brighter than turquoise mined in New Mexico. I love Noodler's Navajo, even though it is not the color of any stone, but it is a nice, bright blue. I need to get some of that Havasu Turquoise because I live in Arizona and love buying Arizona-themed anything!

Enjoyed this because turquoise/aqua inks are my favorites. When you do greens could you make three videos? One each of light, medium & dark inks? I don’t think it would be fair to all the greens if you lumped them together. Thank you.

You need to try Diamine Blue Lightning Shimmer Ink. My favorite!

Hi Eric, & Steph too! That was FUN! THANKS!! &@Eric, Seeing as how you're also (like me), a blues man, I'd luv to see your reaction to another blue comparable to these. Namely, Pvt Reserve's new release, Neon Blue. I just received my long awaited bottle, & a quick drop&smear test gave some surprisingly nice results. Bonus: wickedest red sheen I've ever sheen! In fact, haven't seen any reviews of it ANYwhere as yet (& I've looked!)., hint hint.

It would have been much more helpful if you'd showed a piece of each in the same shot. The colors are so similar that it's hard to make an educated purchase without the comparison. Blues are my absolute favorite, so I take the color seriously. That being said, I think the Lamy is the best turquoise--not too green.

We like Steph&Eric’s chemistry:); slightly surprised there haven’t been any picks from Pilot Iroshizuku(kon-peki seems like turquoise to me) but she has chosen from Diamine, J Herbin and Sailor which are all favourites of mine: Akkerman, Pelikan and Montblanc make fantastic inks too:)

Steph, newbie to the channel: does Anderson not stock Pilot Iroshizuku inks?: absolutely love Sailor inks, have samples of pretty much every ink they do, but difficult to get actual bottles in UK, only have bottles of shikiori nioi sumire which I love, and Sailor ink studio # 743 which also looks like a winner; anyway, my two preferred ink brands are Pilot Iroshizuku and J Herbin, so no matter which colour you’re reviewing, I’m always going to be comparing your choices with those two brands:)

@@andersonpens to be fair Diamine Blue lagoon and Monteverde Turquise are both true turquoise colors. I think it's hard to nail that color without becoming too blue or too green. Most inks in this category are simply a kind of sky blue and the occasional teal.
