The one thing I have learned in this life as a former athlete myself, is that you're talents can take you to a place where your character can't keep you. God Bless.

Not sure that applies here. This is about young adults adapting to receiving bags of money and dealing with life at the same time!!!

@franciscoarroyo9402 7 ай бұрын
@@freewebb2974, that could ease be the case here for sure. Even before all this money came to her, even before she won that national championship, she let us know that she would get lots of criticism about her mouth, and because her behavior was “too hood”. She said that herself, and that she did not care, so she was going to be “herself”, and proceeded to dedicate her national championship winning to “those girls”. So we could definitely have an issue of character flaw here, which money will have nothing to do with.

The only problem with that is that her talents are not what made her rich and famous. The vast majority of her fame came from taunting another player and the social media response to that, and that can’t be disputed if you’ve actually been paying attention to her arc. I’m glad she got her money, but it’s a double edged sword because I’m sure she knows that her skill isn’t ultimately what got her paid. I can see how that can lead to apathy for younger people.

No! Smith is ridiculing and dictating someone's rightful decision making based on finances. If you never had a million $s, try all of a sudden getting it and you're from a low income status. Easier said then done (realistically). Remember Angel is from Baltimore!!! Baltimore!!! Are you kidding me? Have some practical thoughts about her instant success. The true adults should pull her aside and guide her, don't demean and humiliate her, as if she doesn't have the capacity to rationalize. That manipulation and exploitation, she's a young adult with a million dollars. Wow! Look who judging too. Unbelievable!

I played for Coach Mulkey and what you see is what you get. No nonsense, full of integrity, wisdom, and love for her players. The most decorated player/coach man or woman in the history of the college game. (what I meant was she is the only man or woman to win a National title as a player, assistant coach, and head coach. Only person to do that 🎉 Yes Geno has won more as a coach.) One time she took me out of a game, and I rolled my eyes on national television and she called me into her office and addressed it. She called me higher and said I represent Baylor and this wasn’t acceptable. Of course I didn’t want to come out of the game but she did the right thing. I learned from it and I respected her even more. She gave me another chance and I never did that again. She encouraged me and coached me hard, along with all her players. She didn’t play favorites and upheld high standards no matter who you were… I instilled this same thing into the athletes I coached after I got my degree. She is a class act and a champion in every way. Great message Stephen A! 😊

That was a phenomenal discourse. Very well articulated, very on point with the message. Angel is an outstanding athlete. She is a proven Champion. She is by no means done with it, but maybe she needs to step back off the celebrity part of it and get back to the basics of what got her to this point in the first place. HARD WORK on the court. Every practice and every team function. Kim Mulkey will not mess around when it comes to the welfare of HER TEAM. This is a proven team that won it all last season, and make no mistake...She is going for another one. There is no room on this LSU team for any celebrity status BULLSHIT. The rest of the team is performing just fine, to include the transfers and Freshmen!!! The world does NOT revolve around the new millionaire Angel Reese and she needs to realize that.

Amen! She has to continue to make the right choices. She has a long life ahead of her as young vibrant and Bless 21 year old who should remain true to who she is. Also remain loyal to those as well who help shape her decisions and world as a great athlete in the game. Just do your part Angie and stay accountable and believe the best is still yet to come. Glory to God.

This is amazing advice. Angel, just follow that little girl in you who was talented, beautiful, charismatic, and kind. She will take you further than money and fame ever will. I’m rooting for you, Angel Reese ❤️🙏🏽 You have a lot of pressure on you, but look within even through the chaos and noise. 👏🏽

Angel Reese”s issues come from this in my opinion: Law #1. Never Outshine The Master Make the people above you feel comfortably superior. When you outshine your masters and bosses, you will inspire fear and insecurity and they will want to punish you. In your desire to please or impress them, do not go too far either, or you might accomplish the opposite. Instead, make your masters appear more brilliant than they are and you will attain the heights of power. 48 Laws of Power

| not the biggest SAS fan, but you have to hand it to him when he nails it. This is top tier in displaying the exact manner in which to point out potential pitfalls and the way to combat them with the clarity and empathy that a legitimately talented young star like Angel deserves. Whether or not she is contributing to her own current issues (which i suspect she is), you will not find a more measured & intentional take on this young star, this young black female star, than this one. not an ounce of judgment or “hate”, just clear nuggets of wisdom & perspective. she would benefit from seeing this. props to SAS.

Money and fame ain’t easy to deal with especially when you’re young. I know Lebron has nothing to do with this but that’s why I respect Bron so much bc dude had 3 times as much fame and money at 18 years old straight out of high school. And to this day he’s still focused and disciplined, which is the hardest thing to do when you have money and fame. Staying Focus and Disciplined

She needed to be knocked off her peddlestal a bit. Clearly if u follow her on social media she's been feeling herself and the coach probably has noticed her attitude has changed, work ethic has changed, etc. Saying all that Angel will be fine she just has to check herself and remember what got her all the attention.

I was thinking the exact same thing. First of all I notice her numbers are down from last year when they should be up. She's probably not really dialed into the coach these days, so the coach had to show her who is the boss. Don't forget she transferred out of Maryland her home state to LSU. Maryland has a strong program. I grew up in the DMV, used to work at Maryland and took a few classes. I kind of thought she would eventually run into problems at LSU.

And this is why Stephen A will still reign as the top dog as these podcast/shows continue to grow. We can all see the writing on the wall where athletes are taking over this realm of entertainment. Stephen A/ Joe Rogan will be the few that still stand once the Smoke clears....well said well explained and hopefully that young lady hears this.

Her attitude is exactly why she's being benched. I saw that just in following her behavior on and off the court. It was just a matter of time before it started affecting her game. She's like any other kid. She smelling herself, the difference is, she has money to think it justifies her behavior.
