Jon is inspirational with his musical talent and leadership that I have no words to describe because he is one in a billion! Cos I remember he did it once or twice here but then had to start specifying that THIS "Stephen Colbert" is NOT the "Stephen Colbert" who hosted the Colbert Report for many years and such, clearly thin lawsuit avoidance lol. National Amusements (the Redstone family) controlled Viacom & CBS throughout Colbert's run from The Daily Show to Late Show, so he was technically a Paramount guy.

Time to date myself... I remember the good old days in the early 2000's when Paramount and CBS broke apart into separate divisions (Movies and TV), then separate companies. It's the circle of life... wait that's a Disney theme song 😉

We all have probably personally experienced corporate name changes. I have similar situations twice without ever changing my desk. Once was there was time the manufacturing company where I worked was owned by the Canadian Pension Plan that wanted sell us so they could buy Nordstrom.

It's not a lawyer thing. Comedy Central and The Late Show have the same parent company and have done for over 20 years whether separate companies or merged.
