EXACTLY!!! He is the Master!!! She sucks at interviewing, especially someone of his stature!! I keep trying to watch this clip but I never get to the end.. She is awful, and it's uncomfortable to watch, heck Mr. King looks uncomfortable!! Not to mention the ONE question he hates, but gets asked every time; "Where do you get your ideas!?" Ugh!!

King is right about a book's characters doing things on their own. In one of my novels I introduced a minor character to enter the story, exposit, and exit. When it came time for the exit, I realized, "Hey, she wouldn't do that. She'd come along and continue to help." She became a major character. That was when I realized that once you've given a character a personality, everything the character does has to be consistent with that personality.

I've only read a little of this book so far, but does it remind anybody else of his book The Dark Half?

"What if you had ironclad evidence that someone committed a crime but they also had an ironclad alibi?" Stephen, you already did that in The Dark Half!

As promised, perhaps threatened, King wrote a book based in my home state. Like the title play on S.E. Hinton's novel. And the crowd scene in front of the couthouse is one of the best written descriptive passages I've read in a long time. But noone, NOONE, Mr. King, calls Oklahoma City "Okie City", lol.

Hey, just tried a great book titled The Last Disciple by James Holmes. Reminded me of Stephen King, Brad Thor, and a Hitchcock! Love the book! I'm looking forward to the sequel!

It goes to show that when a book is adapted into a show almost 2 years after it was published then you the book was THAT good.
