Better to stay single and live in peace than to get married to the wrong person. There is no perfect marriage because all people are sinful and make mistakes, but it is not good to get married just because you feel pressure to do so from others. You don’t know what your talking about…..women face the most difficulties following a divorce and are more likely to live in poverty after one. They are also more likely to be left with taking care of the children because fathers often don’t want full or primarily custody of their children and it is much more difficult for women to find another viable partner after a divorce or relationship dissolution if children are involved, as there are safety concerns.

I personally enjoy the fact that I come home to a sexy woman, beautiful kid, loving household, and a person who 1000% has my back/best interests at heart. Yall single men think marriage is death sentence, when it's actually the most fulfilling. Find you your person bruh, you'll know exactly what I'm talking bout

A marriage without God and respect that comes with it is the problem, Stephen. A wise man takes his time and picks a woman that's in it for the right reason and is committed to the ups and downs of marriage. There are a lot of deceitful women out here, but there's also a lot of tricky men to contend. Take your time. When she appears, you'll know it's the her for you to commit to. However, make her sign a prenuptial agreement 😅 - JIC.

(All very pretty low level/normal reasons to why any relationship wouldn't last 2. Marriage is like college, it aint for everybody, period. If you are someone who isn't willing to sacrifice, compromise, be a team player, and love someone unconditionally....then yeaaaaaa sit this one out champ. But if you are able to do those things for someone you love/loves you back in a healthy relationship, then by all means do it! I've been married for 2 years but we've been together since 2013. We have one daughter and I love my situation. She's my best friend, we spend 90% of our daily lives together and it's all good! Marriage is a beautiful thing when you have the right person. I don't blame you Steven A. Don't let society or "the church" trick you into believing that you have to be married to be a "whole" person. Of course I know you wouldn't do that😊. There's nothing wrong with being single. If you're not ready to be a married man committed to ONE woman, DON'T DO IT!!! I am a heterosexual woman who feels no desire to be married to anybody. I'm not pressed. I'm happily single. Yeah, I have "friends,"😉 but I go and come when I please and I don't have to answer to anybody but myself and God. I don't have to deal with the trauma drama that comes with toxic men who have low emotional I.Q.'s. Not all men, but many in our community. At any rate, it's not a flex to string a woman along and play with her emotions. It's selfish. I don't blame you, stay single as long as you want to, it's your perogative. I respect you for that. People act like marriage is the pinnacle of achievement when they know deep down in their hearts that it's not. It ain't a flex. And that's that! ✌🏽🤗

@InvestBetter...I am a woman and I know several happily married men. Their wives are my friends and are in long term marriages. If you want to get married you have to take your time and find the right person, someone with the same or similar shared values. I've been married twice, both were jerks. So I concluded that I must be a jerk as well because you tend to attract the kind of person you are. So for the last few years I decided to work on myself. I am much happier. I travel, sleep late in the mornings, cook when I want and generally enjoy life and don't want the responsibility of another person. If I were to meet what I would consider to be the "right' guy, I would not be averse to a relationship but he has to find me cause I'm not looking...lol.

Marriage has no meaning, when you die (if you make it to heaven) you will not be married to your spouse on earth, she/he will be just a brother or sister in christ. It is actually better to stay single because one is focusing on how to please christ while the other is focusing on how to please their spouse and christ. Store your treasures in heaven and that is where your heart will be also. 25 Now concerning[f] the betrothed,[g] I have no command from the Lord, but I give my judgment as one who by the Lord's mercy is trustworthy. 26 I think that in view of the present[h] distress it is good for a person to remain as he is. 27 Are you bound to a wife? Do not seek to be free. Are you free from a wife? Do not seek a wife. 28 But if you do marry, you have not sinned, and if a betrothed woman[i] marries, she has not sinned. Yet those who marry will have worldly troubles, and I would spare you that. 29 This is what I mean, brothers: the appointed time has grown very short. From now on, let those who have wives live as though they had none, 30 and those who mourn as though they were not mourning, and those who rejoice as though they were not rejoicing, and those who buy as though they had no goods, 31 and those who deal with the world as though they had no dealings with it. For the present form of this world is passing away. 32 I want you to be free from anxieties. The unmarried man is anxious about the things of the Lord, how to please the Lord. 33 But the married man is anxious about worldly things, how to please his wife, 34 and his interests are divided. And the unmarried or betrothed woman is anxious about the things of the Lord, how to be holy in body and spirit. But the married woman is anxious about worldly things, how to please her husband. 35 I say this for your own benefit, not to lay any restraint upon you, but to promote good order and to secure your undivided devotion to the Lord. 36 If anyone thinks that he is not behaving properly toward his betrothed,[j] if his[k] passions are strong, and it has to be, let him do as he wishes: let them marry-it is no sin. 37 But whoever is firmly established in his heart, being under no necessity but having his desire under control, and has determined this in his heart, to keep her as his betrothed, he will do well. 38 So then he who marries his betrothed does well, and he who refrains from marriage will do even better. 39 A wife is bound to her husband as long as he lives. But if her husband dies, she is free to be married to whom she wishes, only in the Lord. 40 Yet in my judgment she is happier if she remains as she is. And I think that I too have the Spirit of God. 1 Corinthians 7:25-39

The problem is Stephen A is your talking about celebrities with tins of money involved, not normal people. The sanctity of marriage is diminished by the rich and wealthy especially celebrities.

I am single and enjoy my singleness. I love the peace and if I want to date i will but I do not have to anything unless i want to. If it is intended for me to be married, God will send the right man my way.

I'm happily unmarried (but not single) with a daughter who graduated college at 23 with a high paying position and completely independent. I'm not looking to marry right now, I'm focused on my career & starting my business. My partner has a good career and we're very comfortable. I'm content keeping things as they are for now.

If you not ready to get married don’t but I will say this the problem is not marriage it self it’s people and the vetting process it’s really important to know the person you plan on being with for life

People change even in relationships. At least in a relationship you can move away from the person. In marriage you are stuck with a stranger all of a sudden.

The likelihood of you finding that special person is slim, especially in your vicinity the person that matches you could be 500+ miles away. Plus if you're a high earner with divorce rates near 50% and a high majority of divorces filed by women I definitely don't want to take those odds.

I have a friend who is 64 unmarried, happy and no regrets about not being married , he says it’s a conscious decision and very happy. Getting married, having the 2 1/2 children and the picket fence for society is no longer a requirement to be happy. There are good marriages and we are happy for them but sorry to say it’s not a requirement

I don't think marriage is "glamorized" at all lol If anything it's demonized. But as a married man with a kid, I can honestly say that if you're fortunate enough to find the RIGHT person for you, you'll absolutely want to get married and will happy you did.

You're wrong about the ring. Stop worrying about what the outside world thinks of your ring and less about the quality of the marriage. That's a western civilization side hustle.

If a woman can give birth to twins and then drop them off at a fire department or police station with no conviction 🤔🧐 Why are they holding men who may not even be the father at a higher standard 😒

SA doesn’t want to relinquish any of his bag. Then choose the right woman. I’ve been married for 37 years; it’s not perfect but neither am I. We must learn to compromise and work through issues. How sad that he can’t take that bag with him and have no one to nurture, mold and leave it to. He will someday live to regret his decision. All in the name of money. How sad.

I think if you really find the right, compatible person, don’t succumb to your family or societal pressures and expectations, and are willing to work together through the good times and bad times; you can be happy in a long marriage. Do things and make decisions at your own pace. And at the end of the day if you’re happier being single then more power to you. But always always always get a prenup. Don’t bliss away in fantasy land. Be a little realistic. You hope it lasts forever. But the marriage may not last. It could get ugly. The breakup could cause resentment and a desire to financially maim. Protect yourself gentlemen……….And I guess ladies in certain cases too
