Steve had exactly 15 years left at the time of this interview. Nobody could have imagined how much he will have accomplished in that 15 years. Amazing.

I miss Steve Jobs a whole lot. He was a very dynamic and intelligent leader, and he also improved over time. He had many faults and he was aware of them! What made him great was that he had this awareness and knew how to let other people contribute and shine too.

What made him great is that he recognizes the genius (vision) of his co-founder Steve Wozniac. Also, what's. Left out of the narrative is how, his supposed rival Bill Gates, contributed to Steve's comeback.

Apple's bureaucracy isn't small enough for its developers to innovate. Think about it, you have thousands and thousands of mouths to feed, most of them lawyers and administrators making as much as the actual developers. Now you can come up with pretty cool products all you want but unless they'll make a few billion on the market Apple can't release them; they need mass mass mass market products.

Right now I hold my little Ipod nano in my hand. What an amazing device. I'm still blown away at this creation ! When I think back on the days I had to log my big old Walkman cassette and CD player around it makes me laugh. Thank you Steve Jobs for leaving your creative inventions and visions with us all.

Steve Wozniak: It was a weird situation. Steve jobs never programmed in his life. He couldn’t design a computer - he was never a designer or a programmer - but he could understand it well enough to understand what was good and what was bad.

Steve jobs, you've been an inspiration to so many people, including myself but I've never noticed it. When the iPod came out it was something revolutionary and different, also creative. It showed me as a kid how doing something different can be so important. Thinking out side of the box. Thinking different. So now has a senior in high school it's big for me to be creative and thinking different then others. It sticks out. You stuck out to me and you made me the person I am today. Thank you Steve

It's amazing how consistent Jobs was through his entire career. He had the same philisophy last year when releasing the iPad to this interview taken decades ago and even before that. He always seemed like he knew which direction to go since the inception of Apple, it only took until the iPod, iPhone, then iPod when everything exploded. It's sad that he's gone.

Great point about when the internet gets one dominant company innovation goes downhill. Exactly what we've seen happening for the last 10 years with Google. Though the internet has been split up I think in different categories, so you could argue each category has its own dominant player; Facebook with social media (and messaging), Google for search and advertisement, etc. It's been 10 years today since Steve Jobs passed away, and I was thinking about how he actually changed the world and it all comes down to one thought; what if Steve did not return to Apple. The iPod would not have been made, the iPhone would not have been made, the iPad, etc. Without the iPhone I strongly believe social media would not have been such an enormous succes as it has been now with mobile phones. His impact was so incredibly big, it's amazing.

Well, I like working with Steve's programms, Illustrator is great to design cars with, you start with the wheel-base, just stretch out the triangle of 'the curve the beziere' and make circles with it, the wheels, then design from outside to inside.

3:15 "the most exciting thing in the software area is the internet and part of the reason for that is that NO ONE OWNS IT"... this quote reminds me how things are best used when they are abundant around the world so that we all contribute rather than fight over it. For instance, imagine if we had to fight over air in the same way we have to fight over oil. If we could make EVERYTHING that we need on earth abundant, efficient, and sustainable around the world, we will all thrive peacefully!

Steve was genius at peddling others ideas. Starting in 1999 & by 2005 the Japanese were already using their cell phones for payments, download apps & music, pictures, social networking, & web. Like how we use it in 2013. He went there to study their cell phone culture (Keitai culture), then came back, repackaged it as the Iphone & sold it to the world. Had a Chinese firm done this it be would be labeled copying, but since he was an American it is called creativity & ingenuity.
