Set backstage at three iconic product launches and ending in 1998 with the unveiling of the iMac, Steve Jobs takes us behind the scenes of the digital revolution to paint an intimate portrait of the brilliant man at its epicenter.
Steve Jobs is directed by Academy Award® winner Danny Boyle and written by Academy Award® winner Aaron Sorkin, working from Walter Isaacson’s best-selling biography of the Apple founder. The producers are Mark Gordon, Guymon Casady of Film 360, Scott Rudin and Academy Award® winner Christian Colson.
Michael Fassbender plays Steve Jobs, the pioneering founder of Apple, with Academy Award®-winning actress Kate Winslet starring as Joanna Hoffman, former marketing chief of Macintosh. Steve Wozniak, who co-founded Apple, is played by Seth Rogen, and Jeff Daniels stars as former Apple CEO John Sculley. The film also
stars Katherine Waterston as Chrisann Brennan, Jobs’ ex-girlfriend, and Michael Stuhlbarg as Andy Hertzfeld, one of the original members of the Apple Macintosh
development team.

harlon57 If you didn't work for him [myself at NeXT and Apple] then you never knew him. This snapshot of a few events over the culmination of millions in a life is what Danny Boyle does to make people want to see drama. The `drama' of Steve had mostly died down by '95. It's the reason they keep fixating on the pre-NeXT/Apple 2.0 era and mention nothing about PIXAR.

***** I've watched ALL of Steve's keynotes in some cases multiple times, I've watched interviews etc etc Ashton Kutcher didn't sound like Steve and he didn't walk like Steve, he looked like Ashton doing a bad impersonation of Steve. Just compare the Think Different deliveries, Steve Jobs doesn't talk like that he doesn't talk like Batman his voice is much more of a top end and Ashton spends more of it doing more of a whisper. I wanted to like Jobs but it was just crap and I knew it was going to be crap as soon as the scene that they released of him and Wozniak in the carpark was released because it was so incredibly stupid and the performances were crap.

It shouldn't be about the looks of Fassbender or the accuracy, it should be about the overall quality of the film and with Sorkin writing and Boyle directing, this is definitely going to be a great film. I've already seen the trailer at least 20 times and can quote the whole thing. I love the visual style of it. It looks fantastically shot and edited

I can't take this movie seriously because Micheal looks nothing like Steve Jobs. Micheal is too, "sophisticated-looking", and "arrogant-looking". I keep saying to myself, "Who the hell is this smug-ass dude?" Maybe once I watch the movie, I'll be immersed by his acting. But until then- I'm indifferent about him and the movie.

+Kevin Yeoh Because Apple products are too expensive and steve jobs was an asshole. he never gave credit to anyone. he hates bill gates because he's the richest man in the world, although bill helped apple before apple gets bankrupt otherwise apple would have not existed now.he made fun of bill's philantrophy. he was rude to his engineers. If Microsoft didn't exsisted, more than 75% of the world would be deprived of personal computers. As you can see that a lot of people around the world use Microsoft PC's and macintosh sucks. Only 1 thing apple made good is iPhone and iPad.

Similar graphical user interfaces existed before his, but he gets all the praise. That was the point of that line. Nobody's "playing to haters." This isn't an anti-Jobs film. It's a sympathetic film towards Jobs that depicts him as a troubled genius. Poor research on your part.

+TheFanguy123 Its isn't hollywood attractive story. The social network had betrayal, friendship broken, court troubles etc. Makes a good story. Steve Jobs had a lot of mistakes made in his early days. Both are good ingredients for a smash hit hollywood movie. Bill was a people friendly guy and a nerd. He was very few 'controversial' stories about him. So generally they won't make a movie about him.
@Wepper1
@Wepper1 8 жыл бұрын
+Joab John I don't think so, Bill Gates is considered to be the most successful business man of the 20th century and the leading philanthropist of modern times. People believed for a long time that, under Gates' leadership, Microsoft is an evil company that would monopolize the computing industry. On the flip side, he eradicated polio in some parts of the world and now he's tackling malaria. Just like how Jobs was perceived as a genius, there's more about Gates that meets the eye. I think the reason there wouldn't be a movie about him for some time is because his life narrative isn't complete. He's still pushing hard his philanthropic efforts and he plans to do so for the rest of his life. So my guess is that, once he's passed away, there's a high likelihood of a Gates movie.
