You completely nailed the style, awesome. We used to watch the Luke Star licks VHS back in the 80s all the time. Of course Luke sounds a lot different today. Way to be!!

That 'Starlicks' video is Legendary ! I MUCH prefer his 80's style, less 'Whammy' and less Legato and Tapping ....

0:49 - I've heard Luke do that legato-technique in a couple early 80's-era Toto tracks, and I've been wanting to learn that pattern for so long!!!! Can't figure it out!!!

You mean as in this Solo ( My Effort from 2013 kzfaq.info/get/bejne/o7dkgKulzq_Vcps.html ) When i heard the 'Chromatic' Lick thing, i just had to learn it ! Guido is the MASTER at playing this, as he does loads variations on it !!
